Now that i hear about what blessings mean, I sure would like to get a blessing. I will check out the stores and good thing that I reside in KL, Malaysia so I will be able to go to the hyper-cool Kechara Paradise.
I never knew a blessing can even be such an extensive teaching! I love it! He questions everything including a blessing so we understand things better about spiritual practice.
We really need a lot of blessings from great masters because our merits and good karma for the Dharma is weak. We easily taken over by our delusions and negative karma. A quick way to strengthen ourselves is to get blessings.
"Blessing is... the environmental situations triggered your mind to re-start what you have done in previous lives..." This is the 1st time I heard this version or angle of explanation on 'blessing'. Very profound teaching... thanks.
People who can give blessings are those people who practice loving kindness and compassion can give blessings . That means if the person has an altruistic mind he or she automatically can bless us , so our lives can change for the better.
Thank you to Tsem Tulku Rinpoche fo his clear speech, and thank you to everyone involved in making this video accessible from the very comfort of my home. I am now starting to get a better understanding of "blessing", starting only, but starting yet!
Blessing from Lama/ Guru is good, but if we do not transform, practise Dharma, Compasion and etc, then the blessing will become empty. If we practise Dharma, Hold our vows, serve our GURU, be Compassion and Generosity, then this will be the BEST BLESSING for us. I feel very lucky and blessed by Rinpoche tht he's here to guide us along the path,.,..Thank You Rinpoche....
Yeah... people who practice compassion, forgiveness and pure love like Rinpoche himself, their blessings are powerful for our minds to transform towards Buddha dharma...
Thak you so much for this. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche's explanations are very clear and precise. His sense of humor is great, and it doesn't distract you at all, it makes you more aware of the mistakes, misunderstandings and misconceptions one may have.
Buddhism says : Compassion for all sentient beings regardless of race, sexuality, religion, or culture. To have loving kindness for all living things, and to have wisdom to move past discrimination and hatred.
Let's hear what karma has to say about you being slanderous and rude!
Just a gentle reminder from Rinpoche that the mantra is not "Om Money Pay ME hum"
but
Om mani padme hum

I think to actualize all the blessings, we do our Sadhanas daily and we hold our vows and commitments. That's the best way to do so.
frozbyte23 2 years ago
Best blessing is when we listen to the Dharma and it goes it and we actualize it by practising.

Its neat that a Lama's blessing is more than just good luck and that it can open our spiritual seeds in us to progress further on the spiritual path.
