Im taking Lithium Carbonate 300mg to treat an intoxication to my brain that happened in late October. I was drinking rum and monster energy drink and had dhea in my system.. The first three days made my symptoms worse.. Dr.said he'll take me off it if they dont go away after the first week..

Im happy. Life's still a roller coaster, just got a better perception now. I wouldn't swap this for "normal" no way!

I recently started the lithium and been on the depacote for almost 2 years now. I want to lower the depacote and get off the abilify. All for bi-polar type 1 disorder and I tried seroquel- that crap made my stomach sick-good luck with that man- it is different for everyone..

Also long term treatment most likely will make you put on weight, but you can get rid of it and one more thing if you have mental heath problems like mine then you get a free gym to go to and meet people too. take care. ps some people do loss weight on it but very unlikely.
I take 1.5g a day and I'm only just therapeutic at 0.5mmol/L. We don't get them in 300mg tablets in oz they're 250mg tabs film coated, cost about 5.30 for 200 tabs.
cool stuff bra. I wouldn't sweat the Lithium as I have been on a much larger dosage for 15yrs. I really am concerned about seroquel and depakote - They seem to be the pharmacalogical equivalent s to electro shock
Lithium ain't that bad. I'm on 1000mg per day. I'm also on 7.5mg of Olanzapine (Zyprexa), Olanzapine is a bitch, I hope to be off it within a year. I'm guessing I'll be on Lithium for the rest of my life (it'll be at least 10 years anyway). At least being BiPolar gives you a different outlook on life which the rest of those "normal" people will never understand.
I just got taken off lithium, because of the tremors and I heard it can cause onset diabetes. I also took 300mg of lithium for 10 months. I'm glad the Seroquel is working for you, because it stopped working for me after almost 5 years.
4 buck prescriptions is awesome!! i only wish they'd have more on the list..im on Limictal....and it has no side effects except feeling like i dont need it anymore which happens with a lot of meds for bipolar.
Ask your psych if you can take over the counter Prilosec. It will help your stomach big time. I am not sure if there are interactions with Lithium or Depakote. You look and sound better!
I definitely agree Seroquel is insane. I took 2 50mg tablets to help me sleep and I only have a little energy left to stay awake. Goodnight and I am glad Wal-Mart has the $4.00 deal going.

I refuse to talk it until everything else fails, it's too heavy duty for me, I just don't think the side effects are worth it really, but that's just my two cents. I'm lucky I only get hypomanic and not properly manic. Good luck with Lithium dude, hope it works out well for ya! ;)
I am on that shit now they had me on 500mg in the morn and at night I took my self of the night ones do to the fact it makes me sleep all the time

The seroquel is generic now, came off patent in late 2009. Its not tons cheaper though.

ye i find that i am always thirsty with it, i have taken to keeping water by my bed as i wake up thirsty.
you should eat with them i find that helps me. i am on 800mg a day.
