The AMC Hornet X in "The Man With the Golden Gun" was weighted to perfectly balance it and the stunt used a trick launch ramp which partially collapsed when hit and a fifth wheel in the back to give the car just enough back end kick up to properly arc it as it rolled. Everything about the stunt was carefully plotted out with a computer, revolutionary in 1974, routine for stunts now.

@joermstrong Yes thats correct, I watched it the other day. Massive counterweight in the car apparently hence why this one didnt work

I was about to say the same thing until I saw your post. lol. I can't understand why people edit videos that way, it doesn't add anything new to the first sequence displayed. Anyway, the stunt was amazing!

The car in the Bond film was balanced and weighted so the roll could be perfected. IMO the effort by the MAESTRO was bloody brilliant. Pity a second attempt was not possible! Reckon he could have done it.
