My father has the same car - with 550000km!! Everything is original in there too, apart from the seats, which had to be repaired and other wear parts like the clutch and brakes. But the engine is original and still works perfectly, which is pretty incredible at this mileage in my opinion. This summer, I drove with it to Salzburg, Vienna, Bratislava and Prague. In total, I drove about 5000km this year.

Absolutely brilliant car! My dad is restoring a 180D, rust was a major problem but hopefully it'll be finished soon and we'll drive it in spring. Really looking forward to it

Beautiful, my family has a '52 170DS, an '82 240D, and a '56 219. (see my channel) Our 219's doors close with no effort too. The diesels are the best. Maybe one day I'll get a newer one from Germany just to get the smaller engine and manual transmission with it.
