  • Great list!!!!

  • If a dive watch list starts off with an Invicta, it can't be a good list.

  • I think these guys chose what they chose for reasons of styling. Personally, I think the Invictas are hideous. I owned one of the first Invicta models made, and it wouldn't keep time worth a damn.

The water resistance ratings on these watches are comical. Like you could actually take some off-brand diver rated to 500m down to 500m. The only choices here are the Seiko, the Citizen, and the Orient.

It might help to ask what DIVERS think are the best watches. None will say Invicta...

  • повна херня

  • Seiko... mmmm....

  • i've got an Luminox 3081.BO, it's an amazing watch!

  • .....wotches

  • Casio...lmao.Serious?Casio are kids watches.

  • what about casio ?

  • por 300 € te compras mil relojes mucho más guapos que esos

  • The Watches from Swizerland are the best!!!

  • OMEGA Planet Ocean FTW.

  • Actually Ole Oscar quoted Proverbs 17:28. :)

  • I love Seiko and have been wearing em since 1978, I have my Seiko divers on as I write and love it! totally reliable, stylish and robust. I have Tags and rolex watches which I never wear, for the obvious fearing of being mugged, Seiko is my choice of wear watch for life. Even the cheaper Lorus which Seiko also make are great.

  • 7s28 (jap) and turtle. the rest suck... go to ebay

  • To all those nobodys who tell rubbish as "for poor" etc. Please never ever click on a video which is about watches in GENERAL! If you could even afford a Rolex, AP, JC, Breitling etc. you wouldn't have click on a video which includes "dive watches under 300.00". And before judging about Citizen+Seiko, better inform yourself before telling such nonesense! They both are highly inovative brands and also have their highend you still won't be able to afford! Go and get yor china replicas you douches!

  • @ExSoen wrong, my friend...i watch cops everyday and you won't find me getting pulled over with a crack rock...people go on sites like youtube to see things they wouldn't ordinarily see in real life, that's why its called entertainment...theory debunked

  • @A.T I'm really sorry but I don't understand what you said, which should debunk my fact. You want to tell me...you wouldn't see these watches in real life so you go on youtube to entertain yourself on this video? These are no watches which are not affordable but some are solid midclass watches.I tell about myself that I'm interested in all kind of watches and just wanted to know what the opinion of good divers from the host of the video is but then had to read all this rubbish.thats all. greets

  • I have a Grand Diver, my dad has a Pro Diver and a Luminox.

  • great watches for poor people

  • @aleckstypes I wear Seiko and I bet I have more high end watches in my safe then you do, numbnuts. These watches have style, which I doubt you know anything about if all you look at is the price of the watch. ...Better to keep your mouth closed and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt...Oscar Wilde

  • @lndac02 I believe your Oscar Wilde quote was really by: Abraham Lincoln.

  • Forgot Bernhardt Sea shark, Seiko's snzf17, Orient cer00007 with sapphire,....

  • You guys have no idea what you're talking about. These are watch noobie opinions.

  • well it looks like that ,, this video is not about having watches in order, its about watches under 300 dls that have the same meters deep as the swiss dive watches as oris breitling rolex ect..

  • Wow some of the Invicta watches really look like the Rolex models don't ya think??

  • Momentum. Nuff said.

  • my favorite diver's watch for unter 300 would be the invicta pro diver 9937ob. the one with swiss movement. love this watch

  • An Invicta as no.1.. okay.. Apart from that Invicta thingy this is a cool concept (watch top 10). Why no Vostoks in the list?? I like those in the lower price region. Btw, standard quartz is (though accurate) gay&vulgar.

  • If you are looking for watches, go to definewatches

  • It's interesting that almost EVERY one of these watches is something I would avoid. Japanese automatic movement is a (poorly done) rip off of swiss movement. if you are going auto, go swiss for an extra $100 bucks or so. Invicta = Cheap, lightweight, etc. Would not touch one with a ten foot pole.

I am not a watch "snob" by any means. In fact, I found this video when looking for a nice, classy $500 divers watch. So far, the Christopher Ward watches are far and away superior & start @ $365

  • man all these watches look nice :D i just... want... a watch... but i'm too poorrrrrrr...god i hate school! can't wait till i work!! ima buy all of these watches :D :D :D

  • Invicta by far

  • I have EPOS diver, and its is impressive, auto movt

  • Invicta makes some really poor quality watches.

Would you not consider Traser over Luminox?

  • @modblogger1 I would, if i would give a f* about illumination. But I don't, so Invicta ftw! Best value for money ever.

  • Great clip.. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. No flaming needed..

  • Invicta? Most suckabale watches today, google users opionion before putting it in video. :)

  • This really is an excellent clip and very informative in helping me choose my next watch. Hey, Invicta watches look VERY similar to my Rolex watches. Dr Guy UK

  • Seiko Monster rulz :P

  • INVECTA IS AMERICAN?

  • like watching paint dry.

  • @Mockingbird5150 would you rather have watch me take a dump? 8-O

  • @deviatea no. not into that. but if you decide to do it, make sure you flush twice.

  • I can't believe you didn't include the Casio Frogman. Most are well over $300, however you can find a good variety for less than that.

  • What about the Vostok Amphibian watch? I can guarantee you they are just as water resistance, and even tougher than any of those dive watches probably put together, and best of all. They are less than $100. I will say I do like Citizen watch over any Seiko watch though. Timex watches are pretty much a joke at this point. They used to be tough though. Now they are cheap Chinese crap.

  • @LeathermanFan2 Vostok's not bad. Got one in the shop recently and it wasn't half bad. Not exactly well-designed, as many of these dive watches appeal to forum nerds more than real watch guys (aka people with taste), but decent build quality. I'd still go for a Momentum M50 though. Sapphire, 10 year battery life, 500m and 200m with the crown open. 300 bucks on italian rubber and with a 6 year warranty. Citizen and seiko can't match that.

  • @Nateb123 Yeah the classic Vostok Komandirskies and Amphibians aren't for everybody. They are just for practical use. There were designed to be tough and are. I've owned two Seikos and both of them broke because I thought they were tougher than I thought. I've even seen a few Seiko Monsters that broke too. As for Citizen I own only one and it has been treated just as rough as my solar atomic G-Shocks. I've also read people have had Citizen Eco-Drive for over 20 years without any problems too.

  • Seiko is the number 1 !!!!!!

  • Nicely done. Appreciate the info.

  • Invicta #1! Really!

  • Seiko Black Monster is one awesome watch.Pics do not do the watch justice.Once you get one,you will never look back.

  • @barkerville That's because it cements you as a person who is blind to aesthetics. You'll just stop caring and wear shoes you bought from gas stations for the rest of your life.

  • Gee guys, why no Nixon? And how did the new Tommy Hilfiger 50000m not get in here?

  • Sigh, Invicta.

  • Who would have thought. They link to an Invicta sales site on their website. Like we didn't know that already by even mentioning Invicta in the same breath as legit divers.

  • Considering Invictas aren't "swiss made" as advertised, why are you to believe the #1 diver has 500m water resist as advertised? Either you aren't very informed about watches, or you sell Invictas.

  • you want a real dive watch? buy a SECTOR WATCH.

  • The people who made this video obviously did not research anything on invicta. Invicta watches are made using CHINESE PARTS. There is nothing swiss about them. It is nothing but the quality of a knock-off rolex with an invicta logo. (and a high price tag, may I add) Invicta gets their watch parts from a manufacturer by the name of Seagull, which also creates movements and other watch parts for many other brand names. Invicta watches are made cheaply for probably around 30 bucks. Amatures!

  • @NoahSchultzChannel Like I keep saying dude, the Swiss are ripping off innocent people man, their watches are criminally overpriced.

  • @dproffessa true dat.

  • I like the Seiko and Orient.

  • i have around 15 watches and the invitcta watch was a disappointment. one of the hour mark come off.

  • Invicta stinks do not buy them!!!!! Seiko rocks skx009,007,samurai it getting hard to find going up in value grab one

  • @superhawkn thank god another person here knows about watches.. invicta is crap

  • @NoahSchultzChannel Oh sweet baby jesus, thank you. Invicta is trash. Glad someone knows it, but alas, online taste is a rare thing.

  • @Nateb123 yup.. they claim to have a "swiss movement" but are made in china. they are nothing but the quality of knockoff rolexes with a different name.

  • @datsomedimsum: you spelled retarded wrong.

  • Im so going to get the Invita pro diver

    Great Video

  • Great video!!! I own five of these watches and looking at the orange monster as my sixth. I agree with this video as a rescue diver of over twenty years. Look to Rolex or Omega for higher end but all of these serve the same purpose.

  • Invicta should never be number one

  • Interesting vid and very useful. Please, would you do one on less priced watches like of around $100? I´m a beginner and don´t want/don´t have too much to spend but would like advice on cheaper ones... possible???

  • Great report. thanks

  • I really liked and appreciated what you did with this vid. Not sure why you got some dislike votes.Anyways I subscribed and look forward to your videos.

  • @manny44

Hey thanks! I appreciate the positive feedback! My plan is to do more top 10 vids but they seem to take me a while.

  • @manny44

Safe bet for the dislikes would be for the recommendation of the Invicta watches.

  • @watchurselfblog

"this video isn't really meant to put the watches in any particular order"..

    It's not? So I didn't just see a top 10 countdown..aka..in particular order. lol.

I'm also a little confused about your opinion on the Seiko Monster series.

You state in your video that they are "not the most capable of dive watches ever invented" .then proceed to say they are of "high quality". My question is:

Which is it? Are they junk or not? forgiver me, I'm just a beginner. Your advise is needed.

  • @hansomegq67

    Sorry,

I didn't mean to be ambiguous, but the term capable really has nothing to do with quality. What I meant to say was that although the Seiko watches are legendary and very popular, It's not because they are capable of the deepest diving (compared to say a 1500m Breitling Superocean or a CX Swiss military 6000m). It's because they are high quality for the money.

  • @watchurselfblog You are quite right my friend The Seiko monster watch is very popular and robust for a great price. As being a Bretling owner, the water resistants on a Bretling diver watch is usually between 2000 meters(superocean steelfish)- 3000 meters(aeromarine avenger seawolf). These watches have way higher water resistants but costs more than $3000.

  • @hansomegq67 The Seiko monster is a great watch. It has a solid automatic movement that is very robust. Don't mistake from this video that the Seiko monster watches aren't good. They are probably the most reliable and precise automatic watch for about $200. Also great video. I give it a thumbs up.

  • @dmm320 The most reliable and precise automatic watch for 200? It's got a Malaysian movement. There's a reason it isn't part of the Seiko 5 line. Just get a used swiss auto diver for that money. Monster is for online watch noobs who spend time on forums instead of involved in the watch world. Get a Seiko or Citizen Quartz diver and save yourself the embarrassment of a movement you wouldn't find in a fake Rolex.

  • You think Invicta is the best out of this bunch????!!!! This is truly a review by and for dive watch noobs. The Seiko and Citizen watches in this price range are far above and beyond the others listed. Listing them in positions other than number 1 and 2 shows your ignorance of not only watches but diving and the history of diving watches. I would not even consider owning anything out of the brands you list besides Seiko, Citizen, Orient and maybe Luminox. Ridiculous video!

  • @vjbknife1

This video isn't really meant to put the watches in any particular order...

Instead of flaming me as being ignorant, maybe you could put your top 10 list on here.

I openly invited that in my video.

  • @watchurselfblog It sure sounds like you put them in a particular order and you picked a few of the classic losers in the watch world. My top 10 dive watches under $300 are all made by Seiko and Citizen with a Casio or two thrown in to cover the quartz watch lovers. Invicta is famous for several things, poor customer service, lack of quality repair and needing repair. Go to a decent watch forum and read up on watches and don't settle for the crap that is sold in the mall and Sam's Club.

  • @watchurselfblog not in order...? yet a countdown?

    you M U S T be retarted!

  • @watchurselfblog IDIOT!

  • @vjbknife1 correct.

  • Comment removed

  • Nice reviews!!

  • @fleetingdays Thanks!

  • i got it for christmas, i always wear it since then

  • my favourite is luminox 8800 black ops

  • @hunya95 I agree that's a very cool watch. The Tritium gas tubes are practical and cool!
