Is this before Mcabe rejoined? I feel like this is lacking the stardust that made the verve so good, I always found that it was Nick's guitar lines which moved me more than Ashcroft's vocals or songwriting.

Agreed. This is magic.

It's only on stuff like this that you hear what the band is really like and get the emotion. By the time it gets on to CD it's had all the edge produced and mixed off it.
