"Depending on your DM count by the second to last stage, you'll also encounter different end boss. 1-3 DMs give you the 95 Rival Team/Omega Rugal. 4-6 will give you the 96 Boss Team/Goenitz. 7-9 will give you the 97 Orochi Team/Orochi."
Ru Yue Ying E ("Like the moon with two shadows") Eiji is a very good and complete fighter almost like Takuma. Both do not have air tackles too that would make them God-tier but I thought his air shuriken looks slow and awkward (a little too big too).
If you are talking about doing Kims stomp as an otg I intentionally do not do that on the back if they are out of the corner because it takes away your wakeup options.
Hmm regardless I thought despite the slowing down like you suggested there is still quite a lot of time to plan after the stomp (but if you miss you'd get into trouble that goes without saying).
LOL I dunno how to answer that..while the inner part of me wants to say 'HELL YES' The rational part of me says- I"I havent played them all yet." LOL.
Depending on your DM count by the second to last stage, you'll also encounter different end boss. 1-3 DMs give you the 95 Rival Team/Omega Rugal. 4-6 will give you the 96 Boss Team/Goenitz. 7-9 will give you the 97 Orochi Team/Orochi.
Yeah. As several other posters said, Normal Rugal is fought by reaching stage 4 with no rounds lost and having 6 or 7-9 DMs under your belt by that time. Rugal will be your midboss. This will also guarantee that the Orochi Team and Orochi will be your final two bosses.
There are several other setups that are done that way. For instance, your midboss can either be Eiji, Kasumi, Shingo, Orochi Iori, Orochi Leona, or Rugal.
Semi-agreed on that one. Despite being bosses, Goenitz and Orochi seemed nerfed IMO when compared to their 96 and 97 incarnations, where, for me, they required MANY tries. In 98 UM, I beat Goenitz on my first try and it took me 5 tries to beat Orochi. Omega Rugal, however, is, and possibly always will be, the Ultimate KoF Boss character i.e. in games where there are multiple bosses, he is always the hardest and he's in every dream match as the final boss.
Yup. I can perfect Goenitz flawless in the arcade Ultimate Match and have done so a few times, Orochi is surprisingly harder to perfect but I beat him on my first try with Kensou (yay yay ^_~) unlike the former that took me the third try.
Yeah he is. I should think so with 2002 Unlimited Match too. I like Igniz more though. If both battle Igniz rules. And I am VERY DISAPPOINTED they didn't make Orochi like Mizuchi (Neo Geo Battle Coliseum) for Ultimate Match.
Mizuchi is a monster created by the equally resurrected SNK Playmore. His projectiles are WIDER and hit even more, his vertical rays comes in MULTIPLES (the AI even spams them sometimes for MULTIPLE HITS similar to Igniz's whip infinity), and his new Super Desperation Move where a rosy projectile hits you up the air in darkness, can be comboed into as well.
Watch the video I sent you and you'd see Orochi in the Ultimate Match even is nothing.
I did. I typed your screen name when I sent that thing to you. Maybe it didn't go through because you did not accept the friend invite beforehand. I'd send again.
Hmm... did I type WingedRegent or WingedSerpent. Oops it was the latter HAHAHAHA. I'd send again then.
3. I saw the vid now. Thanks! I see what you mean regarding Mizuchi now. Didn't think you could make an Orochi clone that was harder to defeat than the actual Orochi. lol
Heard they toned down the playable version, of which I haven't yet tried. If that's true then fuck them really.
The AI Mizuchi is like a dream come true. Anyhow Ultimate Match isn't the first time those Japs portray Germans in such a superior, positive light, even above their own race.
2. Be careful with the term "Japs", as it can be considered a racial term for the Japanese. *has seen a few Japanese people I know get offended when someone uses the term Jap*
3. Hmm....I guess. I don't think it has to do with race, though. I mean..if you wanna get technical, Geese remains as one of the harder bosses in KoF, his Nightmare Geese Variants in RBFF and KoF 2002 UM being considered by some as harder than Omega Rugal.
I see. No loss even if you haven't. The bosses are really cheap and if you lose a life with any character the other character doesn't jump in and you lose. Though Kyo and Kim got many of their stolen moves back but you can tell the game is very controlled in terms of damage potential and all (and it's stupid Fuuma has the fire animation but not the ice one for Hanzo when they hit their opponents).
No comment on that. I talk to Westerners quite differently from Asians sometimes.
And sometimes I prefer to use words Westerners are more comfortable with. Harder Nightmare Geese might be than Rugal, but no matter how many variations he take can he still best Wolfgang Krauser, and above all Igniz? They are both Germans.
Like DarkGeese said that I concur in KOF 2002 UM Igniz is the strongest. I like Geese's electric effects, but Krauser's left out, damn...
And they made him sadistic because Fatal Fury is an American Tale, different from the King Of Fighters but like I said, Igniz still owns and even when fighting the Bosses' Team in KOF '96 and '98 UM Geese is a rest compared to Krauser (I was surprised that in the latter version I could do the same moves with a bit of calculation with Kim and Perfect him in the same way too :P).
And I am no a race manic, just calling things as they are.
Germans are generally a hardworking and diligent people, thought I though they are also too no-frills (serious) about work and their approach even in soccer is too utilitarian-based.
The Germans in the old days also helped write Japan's Constitution and trained her militarily. Even Ito Hirobumi himself cut a beard like Bismarck and copied his ways and mannerism.
@SeventhSun The German/Japanese relationship has always been deep and honest. Most people don't realize that Russian (Soviet) troops and tanks assisted Mao Tse-tungs push into China which also led to Japanese Manchuria. The Japanese called an emergency cession and sent an army to repel Mao's communists which FDR disguised as Japanese aggression and never told Americans of Russias involvement. The League of nations cabled FDR telling him to make stalin/mao stop because they knew.
In the last World War they were allies too. These deep relationships would explain why in so many Japanese anime and video game productions there are Germans, references to Germany and German phrases etc and they are almost always portrayed in a powerful if also positive or even at many times, a superior light to them.
And the funny thing is that, though Geese Howard can be a master Karateka but in real life, no matter how equally good a white man is in the Japanese language, Karate, Ninjutsu, Kendo or even Ikebana and Origami almost no Japanese would consider him as 'one of them' or would give him due recognition for his passion and talent in their stuff.
Maybe they might make a little exception if the white man's ethnicity is German w w w w w.
And lastly, no matter what you people say, I will ALWAYS support Wolfgang Krauser (excellent real English if not German voice acting) over Geese Howard (whose red-and-white gi are also symbolic colors of the Japanese flag unlike Terry Bogard with his patriotic James Dean inspired red-blue-white outfit that are the colors of the USA flag).
Of course I would probably get owned by the uploader who is obviously a diehard fan of Geese, but I would even it a little with Igniz or Goenitz :P
If you manage to win the first three matches without losing a round and at least six of those must be dm wins you'll fight either rugal or orochi leona/iori.
Well I pretty much finished like every match up to Rugal with a DM or SDM and never lost my first character so that MIGHT be the way to get him...When you get to him you will know, he has his own intro like something out of the introduction to the game....you WILL KNOW.

I think at 1:07 you can follow that up with a leg storm for an 8th hit rush.

The console game is a bit disappointing because the difficulty is only up to 7 (when 8 is the standard even for Capcom games).
