I'm noticing in this commentary that the video and gameplay look really smooth, almost like it's straight of a real NES and TV. Is this emulator? Why does it look so smooth compared to your other videos?

It's an emulator, it's pretty smooth because I use a better video codec than most people do.

Commentaries are awesome :D B stands for "Barrier", and I don't remember this being a "notoriously hard" game. Ninja Gaiden 1 has that honor.

well it's not hard if you use the code haha. If that code wasn't so widely known and easy to do, contra would be worse than ninja gaiden. That game was downright easy up until the snowcap level.

Though I tell you, I've never managed to beat NG, I've come damn close, but never beaten it.

I'm a NES Challenge right now with Contra(why I was looking at your videos) and we've got to use minimum power-ups an 1 life to get as far as possible(only Barrier and Rapid Fire are allowed). From my own experience I can tell you it's possible to get to level 8. Once there, it's getting to the Heart that will kill you, but it all can be done without the code and using minimum power-ups.

My video for it will be put after the round, I want to at least reach the last level.

You need to do more commentaries. I loved this one. Old NES games too... Karnov might be entertaining, a bald fat fan as the hero...
