This campaign came up in my psychology topic of media in addictive behaviour so I thought I'd check it out. Hornik et al says the messages in this advert were't novel enough and presented the idea that drug use was common place. Johnston et al went as far as to say it convinced people their peers were taking marijuana and so people were more likely to start taking drugs. I don't blame David Mitchell though, he's awesome and can do no wrong in my eyes. He was just reading a script after all. :')
