I'm not too fond of money-hungry American producers with no creativity remaking a perfect film for an easy buck. What happened to artistic pride? As an American myself I have to say the Korean version was better. The cast was more bubbly and the filming was far better.

@beatofangel97m Well, I am not American nor Korean so maybe I can be objective. I have seen both movies, and we cannot say that the US version sucks, so you aren't wrong. When I watched the movie, my first impression was: "it's sweet". BUT I must agree, the Korean version is "unbeatable". Why? However Ms Cuthbert acting skills are really good, but Gianna Jun formed a funnier, crazier character. Simply she is sassier. Give the Korean version a try! :)

hi i was disappointed that she was not sassy enough. they should have chosen another actress. the scene when she is drunk she didn't have that scary look as the korean actress had. but please don't blame america. blame the one who made this movie in america. orginal movies are 99 % better then the remake ones. but when americans remake horror movies from asia ( especially the japanese ones) the american version is better. this is my opinion ;p

The film should have adapted a 500 days of summer feel to it. Everything was so subpar in this movie: acting, directing, place, feel, casting, editing, and so so. This film did the original no justice. The two key actors were not fit for this film at all. The storeline was way to serious and bland. The person who rewrote the film was an amateur and it shows. This is way this film flop straight to DVD. IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THE ORIGINAL KOREAN VERSION...GO WATCH IT!

The English version seems like a let down, the Korean version is so much better. Not only is it better because of how original it is; but because the characters were so much easier on the eyes, and the OST they used. Not to mention, the voices were a lot nicer...Perhaps they should of just dubbed the original in English, preferably with a nice and soft Korean accent voice-over.

How can u remake a beautiful Korean love story where the mannerisms & behaviors, in the movie are specific to the Korean culture, this is a culture sensitive & Korean culture driven movie, the anglo remake does not have the same appeal, it seems more idiotic than anything, it can't even invoke the emotions, the love, the laughter, the attraction to the characters as the original Korean, the white actors appear so out of place, old, ugly, anglos stick to lying, killing, torture leave love alone!
