Not to say that it SHOULD represent God disemboweling himself even though it IS what is happening, but making up your own idea of what the f is going on is the one thing you need to do when watching stuff like this.

I watched it back in 2000, and to this day I can't grasp the horrific dreams and stuff I had about it since. Intense movie really!

i've watched this masterpiece. i'm a fan of his horror/thriller movie 'suspect zero' but i never knew he could create something like this.

it's like one of salvador dali's surreal painting hanging in a church with all the priests looking and wonder in perplexity and disgust but with a mesmerizing view indeed.

i'm saying it's all about paganism, biblical vs satanic, heresy and ancient violence are all in it and with Elias' intelligence he tried to portray them in a least sacred way.
