I don' think you realise that having a big powerfull radar working away in the Mig-31 is the quickest way for the Mig, the radar acts as a big lighthouse meaning all around can see it.

Stealth aircraft are not fully invisible but smaller radar signature. It can be detected with several advance phase array radar system strategically placed. But the B-2 is a different aircraft and it's equiped with classified anti radar electronics and advance jamming and counter measures.
In the early 1960s the Russian scientists started working on the stealth technology, after successfully accomplishing of testing. The project was retired after a few years, because the stealth technology effect was not worth the expense for what it did, because stealth can still be picked up as a object on radar and was not 100% proof. Russia decided that it was not worth the height expensive investment to create something that can still be detected.
It is too long to translate. In short, the video explains why the USSR chose not to implement Stealth even though the technology was invented by a Russian scientist who later immigrated to the USA. The bottom line is that Stealth IS detectable. For example, even back in the day the Mig-31 phased array radar could dtect not only maneuvering stealth aircraft but even their heat trail. Actually US Special Forces Airborne used AK( not sure if it was 47 or AKM) during the operations in Bosnia due to the AK's reliability. You can cross a swamp with it and it will still work. So USA do like it they also like quite a bit of Russian military hardware they just can't buy it.

If you want to lower yourself to insulting me than its up to you, only i don't care. First thing to blend in one would do is to not wear US SF uniform, which they did. I don't need to serve anywhere, my bro is a staff sergeant with SF airborne has been since the 80s and is a veteran of the firs gulf war, Bosnia, Afgan, Iraq and even worked for Black water in Iraq in between deployments.

I don' think you realise that having a big powerfull radar working away in the Mig-31 is the quickest way for the Mig, the radar acts as a big lighthouse meaning all around can see it.
The Mig-31 has muchthe same nonsense surrounding it that we heard about the Mig-25, untouchable,to fast,to high, big radar etc etc yet an F-16 shot one down no probs!
Mig-31 is not a very good system, to old.

Stealth aircraft are not fully invisible but smaller radar signature. It can be detected with several advance phase array radar system strategically placed. But the B-2 is a different aircraft and it's equiped with classified anti radar electronics and advance jamming and counter measures.

In the early 1960s the Russian scientists started working on the stealth technology, after successfully accomplishing of testing. The project was retired after a few years, because the stealth technology effect was not worth the expense for what it did, because stealth can still be picked up as a object on radar and was not 100% proof. Russia decided that it was not worth the height expensive investment to create something that can still be detected.

The bottom line is that Stealth IS detectable. For example, even back in the day the Mig-31 phased array radar could dtect not only maneuvering stealth aircraft but even their heat trail.
