  • Was the sound pulled down? Did they block the video? Or did it just notify that the song "matched third-party content"? There's a difference. Would like to know. Nice video, BTW.

  • Its soo sad she suffered from Bipolar Disorder

  • J'adore!

  • Great video. I have a question. What Doc is the picture of Notley off of? I've never seen that pic before. Thanks:)

  • I'm glad it was taken down, Jagger and the STones are too vulgar for the lady

  • to the debt with falls modesty......Timbuktu met as I said not a thing!?!

  • one of the most amazing and best actresses of all time and one of the most beautiful ..she had true beauty true talent and she's such a legend <3

  • you all really should watch her role in gone with the wind. she was so admirable and beautiful :')

  • Very cool

    Jeff

  • SHE would be in control today! lol I think so...and the love of her life was a genius..you cant hang around genius and not have any rub off. She was genius in her own right of course...;^)

  • Thank You BlackOrchid..I had to change the music on one of my little films too..lol. Sometimes if you dont erase it over time the estate will look at it and it can possibly get okd. Couple of my vids were takin down and i was stubborn enough to wait it out and i can only assume the owner or their family or whatever accepted it.. not sure how it works.. Love Vivien..as much credit and respect as she recieved she still deserved more appreciation from those studios..today whe would be in control!

  • A true diva and wonderful actress bought colour to our lives xx

  • nice music, what it is?

  • Vivien will always be my favorite actress...a very great lady on and off of the camera.

  • I wonder if they will find a way to take their money and their copyrights straight to hell with them? Life is short, play the F***in song~!

  • thank you! ^_^

  • Crazy or not! She was absolutely great. Forever VL.

  • Crazy woman, she went nuts in the final years...but after all,she is the perfection with no match until now.stuning woman.

  • @daciuss

She was bipolar, a disease which was not treatable at that time.

  • Thanks for the compliment on the editing, I really appreciate it! :)

  • She was an amazing actress and an exquisite beauty. Her Blanche in "A Streetcar Named Desire" was heartwrenching.

  • vivien leigh is awesome,

  • She had the most beautiful eyes.

Why do so few actresses or actors today have the same amount of class?

  • So few? I can't think of one today who has any.

  • The dress at 0:38-047 is the green-white barbecue dress from the movie except she has a choker on her neck...at 1:00-1:07, she is not wearing a choker but a pink pendant...look also at 1:36 to 1:41...different ribbonless hat than the one used in the movie and the choker....poor Vivien..she had to put on zillions of costumes that went thru various changes/phases...who was doing this to her ? LOL

  • Lee..... blackorchid77, this is beautiful

  • Was her last name pronounced "Lee" or "Lay"?

  • what was the song that was used before?

  • I originally used The Rolling Stones "Goodbye Ruby Tuesday" but apparently I didn't have the legal right too. Oh well, I hope this is just as effective. :)

  • ah I see :) but dw this video is great either way! :D

  • Some copy right rules are ridiculous! My school was sued because it failed to pay dues to the New England Patriots for use of their emblem. Poor Patriots they must be so broke that they have to sue a high school for money.

Anyway, loved your video though! Would like to have seen it with the original song.

  • really? that's surprising. I always thought Patriots were the classiest football organization. I guess they didn't want to set a bad precedent. if they allow one, more will do the same thing.

  • Mick Jagger you absolute bastard!

  • hahah!

  • hey she stoll mii name lol

    oh well

  • Um unless you were born before 1913, then you probably stole her name.

  • @MrsLonChaney What about Gene Simmons from Kiss?

  • Booo, I'm sad that Mick Jagger would want you to take his song down. Don't get me wrong, I love me some Stones, but pfffffft

    I like this music too:)

  • I know :( I was so disappointed when I saw it was taken down. Now the title of the video doesn't make any sense, lol

    Thanks though :)

  • Who knew the Stones were such copyright mavens? Regardless, I'm glad you could come to such a classy solution.

  • I dunno, bloke can't even spell 'greedy wankers' properly

  • A beautiful woman, a great actress and a tragic figure. Gone with the wind and a Streecar named desire are among my all time favorite films. However, I watch "Waterloo Bridge" every year around winter time, as a part of a sentimental ritual.

  • lovely video about a lovely lady!

  • i have no clue who Vivien Leigh but i like this song xD

    ~is 14 years old

  • no excuse...i've known who she is for years, probably since I was six or seven.

    watch GONE WITH THE WIND.

  • wow! beautiful tribute.

  • Yes, I liked it very much - Thank You!

  • A very gorgeous woman!

  • An amazing video, with one of the loveliest women ever known! You've captured her in so many of her most moving performances. Thanks for posting!

  • blackorchid77

This is a beautiful video 5***** you did great , great actress and a very beautiful actress and a perfect choice of music!

  • Thank you so much! :) I appreciate it!

  • A beautiful tribute to poor, talented, tortured, exquisite Vivien Leigh. Thank you.

  • beautiful beautiful song, we all should live like ruby tuesday

  • Yes i live like "Ruby Tuesday" every day :)

  • Me too; I'm bipolar II. My poor daughter has to put up with me. My daughter is as beautiful as Vivien Leigh and extremely intelligent. I pray each day that she will not become like me. I, too, was once as beautiful as Vivien.

  • oh bless you hope your mood is stable at the moment. I am a psychiatric nurse and I know its a terrible illness at times.

  • bless YOU, redbette. You have a very difficult job. One of the "kindest" psychiatric nurses I knew was a Mennonite woman, painfully thin, never married, who made me flush my Klonopin down the toilet before I could be discharged! Of course, my shrink is in a different county and was appalled that they made me go cold turkey. I went home and had a psychotic episode. I still have to take 1 mg a day.

  • yeah my husband half to put up with me but i am taking meds. for it and i hate to take it cause it makes me feel strange but it does keep me stright

  • I am bipolar also, have been level for about three years now. I was in a study at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio Bipolar Center. They found a balance of pills that kept me stable, the problem is now I have been diagnosed with epilepsy and the meds counteract each other with horrible side effects. At least I have some form of help compared to poor Vivien or Sylvia Plath and Virginia Woolf

  • Yeah have you ever heard of a scool in Waco Texas called Methodist scool for bipolar kids? Cause i have a friend whos daughter was so bad she went to that school and now she is doing relly good. They must work with the bipolar teens real well.

  • That special little woman, with a crasy personality...that was her tragedy! But a great unforgettable actress! I love you Viv!

  • a friend of mine died excactly one year ago and since then I kept watching excatly THIS video so often with tears in my eyes, its of pain because I know she's gone but also of joy now because I can remember her and what a great human being she has been, same can be said about Vivien Leigh. Every person we know makes our live somehow richer - we just have to approve it.

    Great work!

  • Love It !

  • es perfecta

  • good bye

  • She was ABSOLUTLY AMAZING...A TRUE INSPIRATION..:))

  • wow.she is so perfect.i love vevien leigf^_^

  • What a great lady!

  • I love viv too but dont think she was the best actress ever but she was unique and special, a one off, she put something into her performances that was just vivian... her passion and expression something intangible.

  • Sorry, I have to answer to you. I think she was ONE OF THE BEST ACTRESSES IN THE WORLD that have ever existed. Have you watched "A Streetcar Named Desire" or "Gone With the Wind"? She is just unforgettable, moving, brilliant, huge. Incredible works! Such a good actress!!!

  • yes I have GWTW on DVD as it is one of my fave films of all time - I simply have such a long list of top actresses that Viv cant get a look in.... as for stree car I saw it years ago and want to see it agian, as I said she is a great actress but I dont believe in one person being the best at anything, I admire a lot of people for thier talents but one actress can't be held aloft other all others as if that is all there is, that is just too limiting for me...

  • Amen to that

  • Today, in a new aniversary of her death...with my deepest love..I want to send YOU, Vivien,s fan..whenever you are..a HUGE kiss. Vivien was the best of friend with her friends, so..in her memory..I want to share with YOU, my friends, my feelings, today. Please, accept it in her memory. Carlos from Argentina.

  • i don't like the rolling stones

but vivien leigh is my favourite actress!!!

she was so good! so intense!

the are no more actress like her..

  • The first time I saw Gone With The Wind was at a revival theater in Los Angeles in the 1980's. The first scene when the camera pans past her two suitors and reveals her face, you almost could hear a gasp from the audience, she was so beautiful on that big screen. But beyond her unworldly beauty was her dynamic presence on the screen: her grace, humor, the way she moved. I was hooked after that performance, and her other roles in Streetcar, Waterloo Bridge, etc only increased my admiration

  • The best actrice and just a beautiful woman!

  • Vivien Leigh, for ever. Cómo se dice, Vivien Leigh, bonita, grande, por siempre.

  • I really enjoyed this. Adding Vivien Leigh is a fantastic touch. Ruby Tuesday is one of my favorite Stones songs.

  • THANKS

  • The most beautiful actress to ever grace the screen...

  • I couldn't have said it better myself, rc1965.

    Vivien was absolutely breathtaking.

  • Thanks Jade...She really was wasn't she : )

  • omg i luv her

  • good band awsome

  • So beautiful, so talented, so fragile...

  • this song it's perfect!!!!!!!!!!!

  • What a woman and what a song!!

  • i totally agree man!!!

  • Recieved, thank you

  • Strange; now that I've seen this, I think that the Irish-born Carly on American Idol 2008 bears a resemblance to Vivien. I'd love to see her in the Scarlett O'Hara hairdo.

  • Thanks VivienParisi5. I can see she have lots of fans and it´s wonderfull know that.

  • One of my favourite actress! Thanks for thid video! What was the cause of her death? Somebody knows? Thanks.

  • Great Tribute - thanks

  • minute 2:43 Could somebody tell me which movie is it from??? Pleasee.

  • I don't think she is underrated at all! She is considered one of the finest actors of all time.

  • Could somebody please confirm if the song was about her?

    TY

  • No the song is not about Vivien Leigh.

  • do you know who Ruby is?

  • a groupie.

  • I agree it was written about a groupie the Stones knew.

  • THANKS

  • gone witht he winds my favourite and vivien leigh and clark gable have got to be some of hollywoods greatest actors if not the best

  • Adored Vivien Leigh. Such a classic, beautiful and expressive actress. There will never be another like her. I'm glad her memory lives on in film and gives us young folk a chance to appreciate and know of her talent. Thanks for the video.

  • if you could define the word beautiful vivien leigh is the word i would come up with

  • Such a beautiful song to listen to. Gosh... wells up my eyes with tears...

  • Beautiful woman and a great actress. Love the song.

  • She was a really great actress

  • what are the movies featured in this vid?

  • love this song too much!

  • Is this the Rolling Stones singing this song? I know they did it originally but this doesn't sound entirely like them.

  • It's them, but I know what you mean, I didn't think it was them either, Keith on the recorder struck me as odd.

  • I love this song very very very much

  • Yes indeed. It brings back very happy memories. Lovely

  • brings back many happey memories

  • i love her.....

  • Isn't she sweet? Isn't that song a master piece??

I watched her movies with my parents and my grandmother when I was little..

And I liked her too much...It comes to my mind the idea to marry her...Oh! Susan Hayward too times after!!:-D

    Rolling stones for ever

  • i love that womannn...!!!! she is my.

  • I liked this song in royal tenenbaums.

  • I heard this song in "Children of Men" good movie.

  • I love her!!!!

  • really?

  • that is interesting

  • Btw she was really gorgeous one of the most beautiful radiating actresses ever... 40 years have passed since her death, it's so tragic...

  • That is so true, so beautiful, talented and intelligent. My Mum saw her in a department she worked in (in the fourty's) she said she was like a beautiful, exquisite work of art. It's so sad she died so young, if she survived she probably would have still been working today.

  • You know Vivien Leigh smoke 4 packs of cigarettes a day during the filing of 'Gone with the Wind' . She was really a heavy smoker, she destroyed herself. She said " scorpios destroy themselves at the end, I'm a scorpio "

  • where did you hear that?

  • Wow, I'm a scorpio too!

  • I am a scorpio too and I think she's tottaly right :) We, scorpions, have our own way too mess up our lives and if you think we don't, you probably belong to one of the rest 11 signs...

  • I bet her dressing room smelled like a waffle house at 3a.m.

  • wat r u talking about?

  • this is the song from children of men

  • And a dozen other films, and a record made decades before the film children of men.
