  • When humanity goes extinct, who will care? I wonder if the species that replace's us will fight wars over the oil that our corpses will produce.

  • drink all the kool-aid i have some for you to

  • Nationalism is the strongest force in geopolitics. As we see we are not one people. We have different religions and different elasticities. This is why borders are important. Good fences make good neighbors.

  • Hahahahhahaha

You liberals are hilarious. LETS CURE THE EARTH OF HER CANCEROUS PEOPLE!!!

Let me see one hollywood star give up their private jet.

Let me see ONE democrat politician give up their SUV or private plane.

Al Gores electric bill was published. Did you see it? Well go look and feel stupid.

They want your tax dollars idiots. Not less warming. To "cure" the earth we would have to "cure" the sun.

Do you idiots evolve like the rest of the monkeys?

  • A Unified Earth, Evolution Theory, a process of natural selection resulted Mankind as controller of all past, present and future living things on earth. We, Mankind seems to loose control of ourself during the process of developing ourself to make our lives more and more comfortable over the dispenses of all other living things on earth, neglecting the harmony balance of the nature, so and so..now we, mankind is at a stage of endless meetings, forums,Gsummits trying to be in harmony with nature!

  • A unified EARTH, Evoluation Theory, a process of natural selection resulted in Mankind as controller on top of all past, present and future

  • It's called self preservation. In 50-100 years some countries that are leading the world right now will be at a disadvantage to the new emerging economies, so they need to keep the undeveloped countries down; through better relations, so they can leach off them while preserving off shore oil, trees, mines, people, etc. Its evident through recent wold history dating back 60 years ago. If mankind truly helped each other a Unified Earth would never be and option for stabilization.

  • I still think world peace is more possible today than it was 20 years ago through globalized infrastructure building in developing and struggling nations, and then offer cheap and low maintence resources solutions increasing the speed of economic developments in education in science and engineering, creating jobs worldwide, creating the ultimate world-order of civilized living

  • its called NEW WORLD ORDER!

  • I disagree. It is really the Old World Order. Where we the little people are the surfs to serve the very rich. The free market is total crap at least how Milton Freidman sees it. The devil is always in the details.

  • Anybody who believes this load of crap coming from davos ill sell you some beachfront property in the mojave desert. switzerland home of the worlds central banks which run everything and will deal with anyone nazis,communist,etc....(read your history) bono: usefull idiot. columnist thomas l friedman from foriegn affairs magazine the cfr´s (council of foreign relations one world think tank)is called THE NEW WORLD ORDER! people wake up!if you dont know then its high time that you did.

  • Our future economy and our competitive position in the world will depend on inexpensive and abundant energy. Energy is the basis of all of the world's economies. The country that has the lowest cost of clean energy will have a significant leg up in the future world economy. The source of energy for most of the economies in the world today is oil, coal and natural gas. These are are purchased on a worldwide market. We all pay the going rate we all have the same basic cost of energy.

  • Sufficient amounts of clean energy, will probably necessitate constructing multiple large nuclear power plants. Wind, solar, geothermal, tide and wave power are all great and will probably not be enough to meet the realistic demands of our economy.

  • A new paradigm for worldwide economic competition:

The country that has the lowest cost of energy will be able to supply goods and services to the world for a lower cost or a higher profit margin. This would also mean a higher standard of living and a more robust economy for a country that has the lowest cost of clean energy.

  • We are currently faced with peak oil. In the next few years our existing oil will diminish and demand will increase. Supply and demand dictates that the world wide price of oil will continue to escalate.

  • Bono Im disappointed you are now not who you say you are your extrememly evil and dangerous please prove me wrong!

  • I couldn't agree more. I was reading The Shock Doctrine by Naomi Klein. Bono was on board with the Milton Freidman "Free Market" crap. Free Market really means a few people steal all of the jobs and control everything. Just as Reagan and Thatcher believed in "The Ownership Socieity." Translated the rich get richer.

  • Al Gore good Men

  • Global warming is a scam. The elites use global warming to put fear in people so they can steal more of the peoples money via a global carbon tax. Warming is caused by the sun getting hotter and earths natural cycles. The ice caps on mars are melting as well. In the 70s scientists actually were afraid of global cooling.

So, in conclusion Global Warming is BULLSHIT.

  • It has been exaggerated, but there is no doubt that it is a problem. We must be cautionary of our carbon emissions, but you cannot simply dismiss this.

  • Oil prices are a scam!

  • Nope, it's not the sun...it's the growing population and their body heat, hot air, and bad breath that's causing it...

  • The sun is getting hotter! We will all suffer the heat death in a thousand generations or so. Carbon will be emitted from the tundra by this "natural" heating anyway, strange as it may seem. We can just hold on and hope that our scientists can find a solution to this problem or just realize that death is certain, but we can live happily in between

  • The debts owed to the World Bank are similar to the debts owed to the fed(Chase Manhattan) interest on money, that is printed for free by the treasury.

  • If we submit to a global tax, we submit to an authority above our current gov. This new North American Union has no intention of granting the individual rights that are now on the chopping block in America.

  • Wow! Great video! All Americans reading this must come to understand that GLOBAL warming requires a GLOBAL response, including the creation of a GLOBAL carbon market. We breathe China's pollution and a GLOBAL carbon market is the best way of addressing this challenge.

  • I'm riding the fence when it comes to the truth about global warming. The reason why I am torn is because of the ice caps on Mars. The ice caps on Mars are receding at an incredible rate. Does the exaust from the SUVS on Earth effect Mars. Could it be that the sun is just getting hotter? Something to think about.

  • Its not because of the sun. The sun has not gotten hotter over the past four decades or so, yet that is when we have seen the greatest shift in global warming.

The world's scientists are not stupid -there have been loads of studies that show the sun is not causing the current changes in the worlds climate. It is being caused because we have been taking hundreds of millions of years worth of stored carbon (fossil fuels) and burning it up over a few decades, thus releasing massive amounts of CO2

  • Didn't see no puddles forming in mars...but you have a point...too many SUV's travelling to Mars are polluting its atmosphere...It's not Dubya's fault, tho...Good thing you didn't vote "Gore."

  • Green technologies are a growth policy : a contradiction

Bio fuels are helping (through environmentalism) hike food prices: this alone will kill (in income tight LDCs).

Bring back Science. Reason. End Poverty not CO2 (we need CO2, it's a friendly).

CO2 has not commercial value: wouldn't you think it would be at least part of the solution as an insulation. It's heat capacity is much the same as air. A friendly

  • The earth is our mother, and it is wounded. It is out of balance and needs to be healed. Global Warming is a reality, and only by a concentrated effort involving individual citizens, civil society, and our government leaders can we address the many causes for the precarious situation we have created for ourselves here on earth.

  • i totally agree with you Enigmatic, the earth is damaged and needs to be healed. Only through pressure will our senators and governors act upon the issues with full attention. Only then will dramatic action against globl warming take place.

People think that Global warming is a picture made up by the politics and the media, well it is not it is very true. If we do not participate in stopping this global disaster then i fear we will be living in a doomed planet in the near future.

  • wow cant blive that he was the vice president of the United states of america !!!

  • GLOBAL CARBON TAX!!!! OK? is that what yall want? The UN will enforce a global carbon Tax!!!

Warning warning. This is the first and necessary step to establishing a global government. How can the UN have the power to levy a global carbon Tax!? That is what gore is asking for, can you see his puppet strings? Don't buy this bullshi**

  • Everyone is already suffering now - the rich countries, the poor - no one is safe from increasing poverty, global warming, wars and conflicts and so on

We really have just 2 options - Either our civilization and half of world population dies; Or we really change

But its gonna be difficult With 300 million Americans devouring 50% of world oil each year, and spending 19% PERCENT OF THEIR GDP ON "DEFENCE" each year.

20 century was one of the bloodiest in the history of mankind - 21 can be worse

  • Let's be more optimistic.

  • America consumes 25% of global oil output, and spends about 3-4% of GDP on Defense.

  • Al personable and articulate, at his best. 5 years now, till the polar ice caps are gone? G-8 defaulting that badly, how disgusting. I didn't find Mr Gore rude at all, what was meant by that comment? On the contrary, very engaging, I love to listen to this man. Looking good, Al. The real man speaks his mind. I like him best when he's got fresh material and arguments, and this discussion was fresh...except for maybe some practiced jokes and deflections, but that's okay. Bono was okay too.

  • Don't worry be happy. 4 years left make the best of them.

  • It's true, we should all take this matter seriously because when ice melts and water rises, also heavy rain and oceans waves will erode soil of any land, flooding will occur and people will be forced to move to another land. The result of that occuring is people who lost their habitat will be forced to move somewhere else, major problem of overcrowding, where are people gonna go to seek refuge? hellooooooooo, wake up, taste that salt water as it creeps up to your ankle!!

  • there is nothing natural about manmade pollution. . .you're looking at a problem that's putting the human race's existence at risk. Just go and do some simple research.

  • This is an amazing video session. I am going to tell my friend and assciates to come her to view it. I helped produce both Live8 and Live Earth viewing gatherings in San Francisco. Communication, community action and creating political will to meet basic human needs and goals is the key it success for humanity.

  • man ... I just wanted to comment that Al Gore was rather rude throughout the whole forum session ... no?

  • Essential stuff.

  • I have met both of these men. Bono is VERY nice, and I only got to say something quickly to Gore because it was a book signing, but he was nice as well. I admire both of these men, because they go out on a limb and become ridiculed for it. Yet they keep going! They don't care about what the "machines" say. They just continue showing us what one individual can accomplish.

  • People say this and that about Bono (everyone has at one point) but you can't knock a guy who really gives a shit. Sure he's not perfect, big ego and all that... but he's doing a lot more than most for this cause, and I think he should be applauded for that.

  • there is no climate crisis. Climate change is a natural phenomenon.

  • y do we keep reapeating this? yes . nobody is deenying it. its oil that assholes from the west go to war for.

  • i totally disagree. don't believe the hype. think back when in the 70s everyone believed that smoking did not cause cancer thanks to the marketing machine of the time. we need to take responsibility.

  • Riiight. So Katrina wasn't a crisis. Mozambique wasn't a crisis. Thousands dying every year for a multitude of reasons related to manmade/natural climate change isn't a crisis. At what point does it become a crisis, only when someone you personally know is affected? Idiot.

  • Bono is the best, I loved the priest joke, every body should have a little bit of fun when they are tackling the real issues.

  • Great comments by both Gore and Bono. Needs to be seen by all Americans especially!

  • I think Mother nature is going to take care of this Bush government has failed our children

  • Dear Reader:

Sir the Language of what is happening in the

World, and seeing that we don't move on Knowledge we have is the example on why we

will fail if we continue with a Republican

administration. Vote to get them out of Office!

  • Bono is amazing! :D He is so interesting and articulate, and he's got a great sense of humor ;)

  • I love how Bono began with a joke to lighten the mood. It's necessary when dealing with such heavy subject matter.

  • bono, you are great :) i love you
