Note how the Church condemns the priest very strongly but the people in the street are very understanding. "Zero-tolerance" is only an acceptable strategy to those far removed from reality, like politicians and the fat, greedy priests at the top.

People are starving on the street and instead of letting them take a can of food to feed their family you shun them and say it's wrong.
