  • The Maldives are safe - they don't need any saving. They rebuilt pretty quickly after the tsunami and cyclones, which are endemic to that region, tend to wash over many of its islands with frequency. Geological subsidence is another reason why many of the islands tend to experience periodic inundation. These archipelagos are small, fragile, in the middle of a huge, active ocean and always in danger of disappearing. Even paradise comes at a price. Nothing is permanent.

  • Thumbs up if you Agree That All Maldivians Should relocate To Australia! :)

cause they have better education standards and health facilities then all asian countrys!!

  • @freakorex I reckon they'd be better off relocating to India. They'd feel more at home there. Australia is already overpopulated. Scientists are already warning us that if many more people come to live in Australia it will sink for sure. We may all have to relocate to the Maldives instead.

  • i read somewhere that the maldives is only 1 metre to 1.5 metres above sea level. Thats so low , if it doesnt stop, then the maldives will be one of the first islands to disappear

  • good work!!
