I think that it is tragic than an artist have to die before they receive the acclaim they so rightfully deserve. She never had a single hit song, not that Jazz singers really need that, but it could have introduced her to a much broader audience, and perhaps even have brought her acclaim on the level of Ella, Sarah and Billie. Rightfully, today, she is considered to be one of the most influential singers in history, I'm just sad that she never got to experience the acclaim.
She was a brilliant talent and IMHO underrated!!
