  • This is better than any song of 2012!!

  • Great song that deserves more recognition.

  • OMG Julie Newmar made my growing up so frustrating LOL she was the definition of HOT!!!

  • Davey is quite teh artist :)

  • Julie Newmar is the defination of what Hot was. She was Hot before Hot was cool. She was the Hallie Berry of her time.

  • Still my all time favorite Monkees song, written by Mike Nesmith, sung by Mickey (sp?) Dolenz (sp?)

  • Julie Newmar OMG so fantastic I grew up watching this, and her, puberty was a night mare watching her LOL XXX

  • I cant get enough of the Monkees or the lovely Julie Newmar.

    Bizarre and funny The Monkeys.

    Nice melodies, arrangements and songs.

  • ♫ Sympathy, creativity, rhythm and melody.........hey hey! They're the monkees!! ♫

  • I was so obsessed with Davy Jones back then.

  • My favorite part is when Mike sings the echo part. Love this song and all of Mike's songs.

  • Julie Newmar was so hot...

  • @lundehund44 I just loved seeing Julie Newmar in this. He looks so hot in that smock, of course she makes just about anything look hot.

  • what good lookin guys

  • I bet she's fat and ugly right now.

  • i love this song,by this time the monkees became a real pop group with the release of their 3rd album headquarters, this is the true monkees sound, the girl i knew somewhere was written by mike nesmith - rock on guys!!

  • Thank you for uploading this. The Girl I Knew Somewhere is far and away my favorite Monkees song. Mike Nesmith is vastly underrated songwriter.

  • Julie Newmar is Catwoman-one and only. To me she made it her own. Not to discredit Eartha Kitt or Lee Meriwether. She was so pretty.

  • 1:29

  • fuckin' Julie Newmar - that's why she is my favorite Catwoman

  • This is one of my favorite Monkees' songs. Mike is a great songwriter and Micky a great singer.

  • Julie Newmar is so pretty!

  • @reddropdrop Absolutely gorgeous!

  • @reddropdrop Yeah, and did you know she was the original (or one of) Catwoman in the old "Batman" t.v. show? I'm pretty sure she's still alive; I'll check on that anyway!

  • @loveoldsongs

Yes, I did. She and Eartha Kitt were amazing Catwomen.

  • @reddropdrop By the way--J. Newmar is not only still alive; she's still slim and lovely! She was born in 1933, so she's probably in mid. to late 70s. Look her up on "Wikipedia", and you'll see pictures from 2010-11!

  • Most favorite moment of season 1 kicks in right about 1:20. Oh and the song kind of melts my heart too.

  • Lucky girl.

I love when Micky says 'My fingers are still burning from the last time' Then Michael says in the background 'My fingers are still burning from the la-a-a-st' I wonder what that mean >.> <.< lol. But I love when Mike says lAST

  • @TheMonkeesRock The Nez was very good with strong lyrics/wordplay. Lines that cut and stick in your mind

  • @genericgeorge I know but yeah lol

  • Thanks for one of the best posts of the Monkees online.....great song...great episode......and what a girl!

  • I think this is one of my favorite songs by them

  • I just love Peter Tork's harpsichord playing in this song. He's a very talented musician on many instruments....not just a pretty face...oooooohhh and what a FACE !!

  • @Torkgasmicgirl8 A highlight in agreat song. The songs really lifts when the solo kicks in

  • @genericgeorge Yes, I agree, everytime I listen to his song a smile breaks across my face as I hear the Harpsichord start!

  • The Monkees with Catwoman.

  • @TheBestLoser001

    thanks so much ^^

  • this is "the girl that i knew somewhere"=)

  • @HaWkBeAtLeSnElSoN

    thanks so much

  • @HaWkBeAtLeSnElSoN is this on any of their albums?

  • @TheBeatlesArchive

Can you believe this was the B-side to "A Little Bit You A Little Bit Me" This should have been a big hit by itself!!

  • @dakert40 I totally Agree!!! Both sides received radio airplay as it was another double sided hit for them but this side never gets Oldies radio play at all like side A does. God forbid a Nesmith tune should be realeased as a single with them. I always dis liked how Nez was over looked for the radio hits. Of course a year later he got his chance with Stone Poney's Different Drum. Love Is only Sleeping should have been a single as well.
