very nice ride...and chill guys they just missed their distance, it happens to everyone, hell this past weekend i saw an olympian do almost the same thing at the poplar trials.
He uses an automatic release where you drop your hands down rather than push your hands forward. He got to far ahead of his horse at that jump because he thought the horse would take off long most likely. When the horse didn't, the extra weight on his shoulders unbalanced him and weighted him down. That's why he didn't have the scope to clear that fence.
Hey I never claimed to know more or ride better than him, in no way am I and I won't be that good for a LONG time, if ever. I never said he didn't put in a great ride. I know top riders and even they make mistakes which is what he did, I wasn't criticizing, just putting my interpretation of that sticky fence out there.
Sweetie, that's my old trainer, he's international level, yes, but he hasn't done 4* yet, let alone Olympic. Wait until his horse, Prince Noah climbs up through the levels!!
Pretty horse. Is lower leg slides a bit but he doesn't really get the horse in the mouth. I think he knocked the rail because he chipped it and the rider was already in half seat.
Hey! That's my trainer you're talking about! You don't know Charlie, that horse is a jumping machine, but he's really strong when it comes to jumping, David is jumping on contact, otherwise known as an automatic release, it's the only way he get's around safely. And if he was hitting Charlie in the mouth on every jump, why are his ears perked forward? IDK about you, but my girl wouldn't have her ears forward if she was being 'smacked in the mouth'
My trainer just bought this horse from David a couple of weeks ago, and I love him.
He's a nice horse, very pretty.
I would kill to have a horse like him some day.

You guys are idiots. This guy has an amazing floating rein. He doesn't hit the horse once. The rail fell because he got ahead.

you dont realease let your hrose jump! thats why you had that rail down i would say not the best round but really pretty horse

just judging by your screenname, but you seem to be a hunter jumper. He is an eventer, and different disciplines ride different ways.
