I use mostly, and only the best hand picked NOS parts, and it's just not financially worth it.
You would be better off buying an original one.
People, all pots are set on 5 and the volume pot is just below 2. The sound comes from the Digital cam. No mic in front of the amp.
I have, again, to say that it's NOT ME playing! It's my old friend Jean-Marc Benais. He "invented" that playing style over 38 years ago. He' s not copying anybody.
You´ve got a mean right hand man, great palying!! Also great sounding amp, have you ever played on a JPM 1986? The circuit has many similarities with the JTM45 and I´m triying to decide wich one to build.
@BluesRocker52 perfect pitch is such bollox, pisses me off when people boast about it! It's a made up load of crap, anyone who's been playing long enough can hear if somethings out of tune...
You're right, it sound like boasting. I apologize. I'll just say, I can hear that he is out of tune, as he is on two of his other videos. It doesn't take perfect pitch to hear it, just musicianship.
@BluesRocker52 my comment wasn't about the tuning (which really isn't a big deall!! and it obviously goes out of tune WHILE he's playing) it was about you pulling out the perfect pitch card, there's no such thing!
@BluesRocker52 : out of interest what do you mean by your comment ? Are you saying the les paul guitar detuned itself for a period 1 second and then some how tuned itself back or are u saying he hit a wrong note for that 1 second period ? anyway i pitch deaf anyways so dont mind me.

dude that amp needs to be played louder then that, sounds dead. What do you have it on 1 and a half. That amp becomes alive around 3 (aka 9 oclock) on the volume.
With all due respect, of which you deserve none, I just got back from performing in front of 1,200 people tonight. 3,000 tomorrow. How many concerts have you done lately? I don't spend my time doing videos for people...I perform for them. I re-read my post and I thought I was being gracious.
Oh you're a star?! You perform for people!! wow! Oh excuse me!! I'm impressed now and tongue tied. You're the best, how could I ever have known... hahaha.

I would like to apologize for my immature response to your post and to the guitarist on this post. No musician, no matter how experienced or how different the style deserves my self-serving, critical comment. I was wrong and I apologize to all.
Bluesrocker ... no problem ... I think I might have been a bit tipsy with my original comment to you. It was rude of me. It's easy to write stupid things and regret it later ... we all do it ... I do it all the time ... haha! I appreciate your self-awareness and humility. Peace again and happy new year.

To be honest, that style really does that beautiful Les Paul a disservice. You can string slam any cheap guitar that way and get a similar tone. Perhaps a Tele or a Strat? That LP neeeds to be picked with soul and dynamics, man, not strummed with the same attack all the time. I'm not trying to be critical, but whoa, that sounds horrible!
Hot damn, nice work! Every string-slinger I know always forgets about the venerable '45 - quite possibly my favorite amp of all time. How can you go wrong with an amp that drinks in overdrive pedals *and* sounds killer by itself?
Nice playing, sounds like you are more of a bass player. Are you sure the guitar is a 1959? Looks to be from the 80s? Hope you did not pay too much for her! Peace
I bet you can! nice axe, must have been kept in her case a lot. I have two 50s Les Pauls, both ragged out. Sound good though. INSURE THIS! Worth 300 grand these days. Peace

It depends. They both have their own distinctive sound...
I have them both (originals) and like them as much. Hard to tell.
What I can tell you is that when I used to build my amps, I mostly used original parts.
