Even if it's business class, why choose a two-flight route and not the straight one? Isn't that a lot more expensive? Maybe the reason is either you don't like PAL or Cebu Pacific, or you also like to see the Incheon International Airport. It is beautiful there and if your flight interval is so long, you can opt to have a city tour! You must be rich! I would never choose a flight that is not straight if my destination is just Hong Kong. Well, just my opinion! ;)

@jeathy That's why i chose to take the 2-flight route- to make the most out of the award ticket's value, hahaha! As of the moment, I use Continental OnePass (now Mileage Plus under merger with United), Delta Skymiles (used to be easy in redeeming miles, not anymore) and PAL's Mabuhay Miles. U can earn miles by flying and like what I do, enrol at e-miles (survey for miles) and I transfer miles with permission from relatives who fly but dont redeem their points. ;-)

LoL i took korean air last year from toronto to incheon then to manila. The staff were amazing but i think i ate 3 bowls of bibimbap. Cant complain though because they were great tasting!

@chukkoi Yeah, many people do not wash their hands when returning from the restroom and they pick their noses with the same gloves placing your meal on the tray. Plus the people who prepare it & deliver it all have inside jokes for all that will eat it. : (

@mikapuchaypuchoy About USD$300. Mine's a different case- my tickets were free coz they were award tickets, I traveled with 4 friends and we all chipped in for our lodging (in a hostel in Mong Kok). I brought $an extra US$300 just to be safe but I wansn't able to spend it all coz I just went there to eat and sight see. Didn't do much shopping.

chukkoi, umm, pilots are not actually pedalling but they are just pushing so the throttle so that the plane will fly, it's easy to fly but very hard to land.....hehehhe
Did you get upgraded to Business Class, or did you originally purchase a business class ticket? Whenever I fly, I always try to get upgraded, but they never let me. Lol

I'm planning on doing an international trip from Atlanta to Bangkok via Incheon on Korean Air in business class. I think you got the intra-asian business class. Would the business class on the ATL-ICN flight be different? It's on a 747-400.
Yeah, i think they use different seats for intra-asian flights. I'm not quite sure if they use the kosmo/sleeper seats on flights from the US but they should be. You can do a some reearch here at YouTube or at Google images.

Excellent video. I flew Korean Air a couple of years ago, albeit in economy, from London to Seoul. The staff were probably the worst I had ever come across, but these staff certainly seem very friendly. 5*
I guess it depends on the crew. On some flights I had on some airlines, there were staff that didn't seem to care. Fortunately on some flights, I had a good time with the staff who were very accommodating.
haha very funny...just cuz the chinese make cheap products does not mean that they have bad pilots.
Seriously...there is a whole chapter about korean airline in Malcome Gladwell's book "outliers". They;ve had like 20crashes in a course of 30 years or something like that. But overall I'm sure their service is better than China. =)
Have u checked China Airlines' history? Even their CEO had to bow down sobbing on his knees to apologize after a case of successive crashes. One of their planes even burned while it was parked on a tarmac. I don't think they have bad pilots. I think they have bad maintennance.

Yes, there are direct flights from HK to Manila (and vice versa) on airlines like PAL, Cebu Pacific, and Cathay Pacific. However, no direct flights for Korean Air. I just opted to take this route coz I wanted to take a side trip on another city en route to HK using my award ticket.
I had Bibimbap in economy 4 times going AKL-LHR and - it was honestly the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten! It was economy though so...

I prefer side trips and stop overs. I get to visit another city or airport. :-)

Personally I think most of the Asian Carrier are very good service and friendly except the American one, old ugly and nasty attitude.

You should try Asiana. It's another South Korean Airline and they also have a good service.

I'm planning to take those dates for a trip from Manila to Hong Kong via Singapore Airlines.... medyo mahal ng konti kaso the SIA uses the A380 on their SIN-KHG route. Balak ko gumawa ng vids non. :-)

I'm planning on doing an international trip from Atlanta to Bangkok via Incheon on Korean Air in business class. I think you got the intra-asian business class. Would the business class on the ATL-ICN flight be different? It's on a 747-400.

Yeah, i think they use different seats for intra-asian flights. I'm not quite sure if they use the kosmo/sleeper seats on flights from the US but they should be. You can do a some reearch here at YouTube or at Google images.

Excellent video. I flew Korean Air a couple of years ago, albeit in economy, from London to Seoul. The staff were probably the worst I had ever come across, but these staff certainly seem very friendly. 5*

I guess it depends on the crew. On some flights I had on some airlines, there were staff that didn't seem to care. Fortunately on some flights, I had a good time with the staff who were very accommodating.

haha very funny...just cuz the chinese make cheap products does not mean that they have bad pilots.
Seriously...there is a whole chapter about korean airline in Malcome Gladwell's book "outliers". They;ve had like 20crashes in a course of 30 years or something like that. But overall I'm sure their service is better than China. =)

Have u checked China Airlines' history? Even their CEO had to bow down sobbing on his knees to apologize after a case of successive crashes. One of their planes even burned while it was parked on a tarmac. I don't think they have bad pilots. I think they have bad maintennance.

Mas gusto ko na magpa-cute sila. Parang attention na nila sa pasahero, rather than the snobbish FA's sa PAL o Cebu Pacific na naging crew lang, e no match naman sa kalibre ng mga big airlines.

Yes, there are direct flights from HK to Manila (and vice versa) on airlines like PAL, Cebu Pacific, and Cathay Pacific. However, no direct flights for Korean Air. I just opted to take this route coz I wanted to take a side trip on another city en route to HK using my award ticket.
