UDA is the toughest. Simply because the judges only focus on cleanness. Your routine has to be PERFECT in order for u to win.

I'm definitely not a connoisseur in dance, nor am i any professional dancer or educator. However, I know enough to realize that they were in sync with each other. It also should be noted, that compared to many of the other schools, their works are always so intricate. There's always something going on! AMAZING!

In 2002 Orange Coast did compete in Div 1A and against Minnesota. UDA used to let teams move up in divisions if they chose to. They have changed this rule since then. That year OCC placed first and Minnesota placed 4th, although many felt they should have at least been 2nd. OCC had a very complex and difficult routine and it was no surprise that they took the title.

I think you are getting the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis and University of Minnesota-Duluth mixed up. They are two different dance teams that compete in two different divisions

I know for sure that this is true. I was the choreographer for the U of MN-Minneapolis from 2001-2005. I was there at the competition.Orange Coast competed in Div 1A that year, normally they are in Open div.

unless you cousin is karl mundt or krisin vella, they did not teach this dance. Michelle Larkin taught the 2006 and 2007 national routines. from 2001-05 it was karl mundt and kristin vella
