  • Ehm, correct me if im wrong but... Isn't Al Qaeda in Afgenistan? Didn't they attack Iraq claiming there had nuclear weapons, wich now is clear they don't have.

Then you get the American goverment attitude, let everyone think that Sadam caused 9/11. So we can stay in Iraq even now everyone knows we attacked them without a proper reason.

(Again correct me if I'm wrong)

  • Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez (the man who was in charge of Abu Graib at the height of the prisoner abuse, and the commander of all coalition forces in Iraq from June 2003 to June 2004) on the situation in Iraq:

"There is no question that America is living a nightmare with no end in sight."

  • Wait, we're making PROGRESS in Iraq??

    Where have I been...

  • I just watched Amy Goodman interview filmaker Rick Rowley who toured with Iraqi Militias for a documentary. Rowley said that Gen. Petreus out right lied in his testimony. He is arming both sides of the civil war. As well as fudging his numbers.

  • omg...poor soul beeing exploited like that, i dont blame her , i blame the "terrorists" for the death of her son, i blame the makers of this fim

  • Take a look at history people! This type of commercial is PROPAGANDA! Who spends million to place ads trying to keep Americans in an unconstitutional war?

  • Unconstitutional? Elaborate, will you? Or tell me where it is so I can read for myself. I think I may know what you mean but just in case you've discovered something relevant that I've overlooked, humor me please.

  • MADSCI What the fuck man. Unconstitutional War? Who said it was Unconstitutional? You. If it were Unconstituional the Supreme Court would have take action. You are right there in the looney fringe. Prove your Claim

  • Bos, International Law states (and I know you probably say fuck that) there are only two legal justifications for attacking another country: self-defence, or if the Security Council authorises you to do so. Neither of these are backable claims in regard to the Iraq war started in 2003. US officials are also under indictment in Germany as their courts do not need a criminal to be resident. IE Don Rumsfeld

  • So Yuk are your for a country like Germany being able to prosecute Bush and our Congress for conducting an illegal war.Don Rumsfeld was acting on the behest of the President and the Congress.

  • Yuk that would be a hoot, Germany prosecutes our Congress and President. I could see the H Bombs flying now. That would be the end of the Foruth Reich

  • I forgot... We're above International Law because were the Fricken US of A. And yet some wonder why the rest of the world distrusts us more everyday. We can start wars any where we want, wire tap foreign citizens, kidnap them and generaly fuck them up if it suits our purpose. And then laugh when they want to prosecute criminals like Rumsfeld.

  • YUK You haven't lived the standard of living because we are nice guys to our enemies. You are reaping the fruits of all these policies that you dispise. YUK if we broke international war, who is going to put the USA on trial. What law did we break? Has Al Qaeda broken any international laws? Had Iraq broken any international laws. You make it sound as if the USA is at war with Mother Theresa

  • I never said anything about the lagality of what Al Qaeda has done. People have done horrendous things in the name of them. the USA wouldnt be put on trial but individual citizens who broke US and international Law. If anything our standard of living is hurt by our bloated military spending and incursions abroad.

  • YUK because we have this bloated Military we have been able to put the thumb on countries like Afghanistan. As far as our government official being put on trial for breaking International Law, who is going to bring the charges?? Are you serious? Do you actually think that some other country or entity could put say Cheney, or one of our Senators that fund your so called illegal war. The next day the county that tried that would have a cruise missle in the living room of their President.

  • OUr military is as big as every other military combined. There was no peace dividend after the cold war as was promised. We're still designing and building nukes even though we can blow up the world 20 times over. Our tax dollars, meanwhile 50 million citizens have no health care and our bridges crumble.

  • Well YUK that is what the Democracy has given us A Congrees both Republican and Democrate Presidents both Repulican and Democrate. If I had my way we would vote them all out and fix some those health and infrastructure problems.

  • Ahmen to that brother. I dont point fingers at one party, they are both heads of the same hydra. I wish we had progressive voting like they do in NewZealand. Then better candidates could get elected and a third party would be viable.

  • Do you think we (the US) should be able to do anything without consequences? What in your mind would be over the top? IS there such a thing? Is the fear of terrorism so everwhealming that you would abandon the very principles of decency that Americans believe this country was founded on?

  • YUK I would not targeting innocent civilians. All I want is a unified country that lives and breathes for the death of every member of Al Qeada, wherever they are. I want to see rally's in every city with Americans chanting for the death of every Al Qaeda Member. I want to see him (Osama) burned in effigy in every city. Instead al I see is Americas hatred pointed at its President, and the mission that congress sent the troops on. Maybe I feel this way because I am a Marine.

  • Our military attitude is one of the contributing factors to the growth of Al Qaeda. Your stepping on ants, and more come. This strategy will lead to endless war. Who other than the war profiteers beefits from this? It's the peoples duty to keep the government in check and that includes the President. (Cheney)

  • YUKK The democrat congress could stop the war tomorrow. Beat on there 11% approval rating, no balls ass.

  • The Republicans in Congress voted against all legislation to end the war. They also voted against giving troops adaquate leave time. They own the war. Without a majority vote the architect of this disaster "George Bush" can veto.

  • Yukk Your wrong the Democrat congress can stop the war by not bring a funding bill to a vote. 11% approval, they are hideous windbags, they disgust me and we need them all to go. This is my friend Americas Geovernments War

  • I think that would be irrisponsible though. Why? Because those running the war will not use the remaining money to get our people out of harms way. Regardless of that issue, not passing the the leave time bill was quite cruel.

  • YUKK I agree about the time home thing. I think it is awful and it is hard to imagine going back to war so many times. Once was enought for me in Vietnam. Maybe I am a chicken shit but no way did I want to go back. the other cruel thing is telling them they are going for 12 months and then when they are close to going home extending their tour by 3 months

  • Bos, this also... Soldiers are trained differently than you and I were. They use a battle buddy system now. While it does make for greater unit cohesivness, it also makes soldiers not want to leave at the end of their contract. They feel a strong impulse to reup because their buddies are still there, this even when they have families at home who need them and the phycological pressures become ever increasing.

  • YUKK Yes I believe there is pressure to stay and they are give a big bonus to stay in. I think they offered him 35 grand tax free if he re uped in Iraq. I wish there was a draft and more Americans would share in wars we get into, and also think harder before they start one. Peace

  • To bad the former Bush administration officials, and multi millionairs behind this ad dont make a video themselves. "We need to keep fighting because there are big contracts still out there, and the oil hasnt been privitized yet."

  • Do you think killing 1 million innocent Iraqis is making us safer? I'm an American too and absolutely deplore all the death we've caused. We've now used up our troops and Bush wants to fight Iran too. What are y'all thinking?!&*(&(%^&

  • Wow... this is really repulsive propaganda. It makes my stomach turn.

  • A terroist seems to be anyone who doesnt agree with your view please read george orwell 1984

  • That poor, willfully ignorant mother. So sad to see an otherwise normal, grieving human being being manipulated by the catapaulted propaganda. It's the 2004 Republican Convention all over again.

  • Bush/Cheney/Rove and cabal are modern day fascists!

Their propaganda is endless and they don't care who they use to help 'catapult' it.

  • Did you not notice that, while it was easy to get the US unto Iraq because we were pissed off, the British were dragged in kicking and screaming? To me, this suggests someone who may dictate to Presidents and Prime Ministers. I keep sensing something that I can't see.

  • The surge isn't working. 2007 is the bloodiest summer for our troops since the war began. These ads all encourage you to call Congress, but that number isn't Congress. It gets you an operator who asks you to take a survey BEFORE they connect you with Congress. Go try it. If you don't agree with them, you can't get through. They won't even give people the truth about Congress's phone number. Which, by the way, is (202) 224-3121 for the Senate, and (202) 225-3121 for the House.
