@mucis4life I don't have snake bites, I really want them though but I suggest getting the ball piercings first simply because if you get the hoops and your lip swells it's going to hurt a lot and it will be hard to take them off. Just try using the ball piercings for a week or so until you're sure your lip won't swell and then switch. :) Hope you get the snake bites :D

You touch you piercings way too much. You should only touch a piercing when you are cleaning it, after you've washed your hands with an antibacterial soap. :)

Wow!!!! Your piercings were cheap!!! I just got one side of my snake bites done and it cost me $30. The solution was extra. I was told to clean mine twice a day. Didn't your piercer give you a care sheet? I know what you mean about the backs getting caught on your teeth. Mine are doing that too - just have to get used to them I guess. I also have quite abit of swelling - could barely eat the day of the piercing but things are getting better. Love having it done tho.

@justinloverleah No it didn't hurt. I imagined it hurting more in my mind, because I figured it'd be like biting my lip. But because the piercings themselves are so small, it doesn't hurt to get them done. The only thing that may be painful is when they get irritated or too swollen. But in those cases, ibuprofen should take it away (:

@TINAabstract i just got mine 4 days ago, and the one had skin grow OVER so now its like a slit when i push on the piercing it'll pop through, it STILL bleeds, and yeah i think it was cause of the shorter studs, it SUCKS it hurts every time you move it/talk :(

@justinloverleah Getting them pierced doesn't hurt. The only thing that is painful is the healing process. You're bound to get a little bit of infection, because you're putting something foreign into your body and it's going to try and fight it. But otherwise, once it starts to heal, it's worth it. When you have the long labret bars in, they are irritating and annoying. They tend to get caught on your teeth and gums and on/in your food. Haha. Just thought I'd elaborate for you. :3

@Sleepybeezy213 I would say to go with the longer bars just to be safe & more comfortable. You may get called antenna-face for a while but it's worth it. The shorter bars can increase swelling.

@xScaredMomentsx Yes, your lip is going to be swollen for about a week or so. In my honest opinion, you should wait until you get your braces off. There is enough irritation on your lips as it is without having braces and I think that braces might make the irritation worse. Also, the back of the jewelry would get caught in your braces often. You can go for it, but it may be annoying to eat and talk for a while. Goodluck! (:

Well, I think people will always make pre-judgements based off of appearance. I think any body modification (tattoos, piercings, scarring, etc.) often heightens judgement towards individuals, but you have to be comfortable with your appearance. So, if you've been considering it for a while and you really want it, go for it! Don't let other peoples' perception of you change your personal opinion.
