Man I like the vids. I really have to wonder why not all crossings use gates though? Gates + Bright LED Lights (less chance of being burnt out) and Horns = less chance of fatalities. Screw all those people who say the horns are noise pollution. They save lives.
They are widening/rerouting the road. It is a combination of two (and maybe a third) agencies. The state of Indiana for the part that intersects with State Road 67/U.S. 36, "maybe" part of the project comes from the town of Fortville, and the part that still has the road closed, CSX needs to complete the crossing.
As you can see in the pictures at the beginning, one of the crossing signals has yet to be moved and is actually blocking the lane.
@PJD1987, I was just through there today. Looks like they are going to reroute 13 straight to 67, taking it out of town. They are raising the road level with the crossing so that it won't be a ramp like it was. I might try to get there this weekend to get some videos of the crossing before the upgrade the lights. They've already installed the new cabinet.
Hahahahahah, hey Dad, quit talking about the cuss word and get to why you fell in the mud. Hahahhaa. 5 stars, 5 stars. Fasho, I'm rollin'.
p.s. I have the same exact situation with perfecting a video. Especially ones that a lot of people are going to see. And by the way, that guy probably meant the 'ding-ding-ding' sound. Not actual bells. hahahahah
p.s.s. You look stoned as hell. What the hell are you doing while Mom is at the Casino? hahahahhahahaha.
Construction. They are widening the road. The street department finished their part, but the railroad always seems to take longer. In the video, you can see the road is wider, and the crossing signal has not been moved yet and stands in the way of the lane.
Y no bell

Great video, I live about an hour away from Fortville and was out there yesterday, saw 4 trains, and what all runs through there? Is it just CSX?
BNSFnick 2 years ago
Mostly all CSX, with some NS peppered in and an occasion stray of just about everything else.

Did i just see two trains going by at the same time?
jakubowski2008 2 years ago
Yes. The second train arrived about three to five seconds before the first train's end passed. Pretty cool.

@wisecrac99 They've been widening roads and stuff for years. Right now the section of 13 is cut off right by 67........ Pissing me off. lol

Perhaps it's just me, but I've noticed that a lot of crossings in Indiana do not have a bell...
sirkrunch 2 years ago
Yeah, and they don't seem to have any real criteria for when they do or don't.

Hello why the level crossing was closed to car traffic? I would appreciate your response.

Hello why the bells of the level crossing is not playing? I would appreciate your response.

No bells here. I'm guessing by your question that you're not from the USA. It is not unusual for a crossing to have no bells here.
