But it was the first original film to offer this raw footage concept. Except for... the not very well known Cannibal Holocaust. In both cases some people thought it was for real. I actually found the SyFy channel fake documentary about discovering the Blair Witch footage more creepy than the movie itself

3:46 is probably the scariest part of any movie for me! It was perfect. The mood was created perfectly. Any normal person already has a deep ingrained fear of basements and attics, and everything was completely silent then BAM giant scary anorexic chick played by a dude wants to bite your face and rape your soul!! The creators said they wanted to make a movie dedicated to all the truly scary movies of their youth, and damn if they didn't make a genuinely scary movie!

Actually, I disagree about the leading lady in Quarantine. I thought she did a good job in the last 30 minutes or so. She was panicked, shocked, couldn't breath, and she kind of made me feel the same way. I saw it alone in a dark room, which is a lot more effective for these types of films than in a theater. Haven't seen REC, but I want to, as well as the sequel.

Quarantine was okay though. The first act was boring, the second act was interesting enough, and the third act was very suspenseful.

This movie didn't make any sense, dumbest characters I've ever seen. They KNOW it's been quarantined by the military, I'm pretty sure they can't get out, yet they still try. They'd have survived if they barricaded themselves into a room. They constantly make retarded decisions, like not taking the policeman's gun, or even getting a blunt weapon. And why the fuck would you drag around a huge camera in the first place, with raging zombies all over the place? Can't defend yourself. Just stupid.

you have a point about dragging the big camera around and yes they are aware of the building being quarantined, but they were told by the guy who got bitten at the beginning of this video that there was actually an exit down below the building, but they needed a key to the door below. And the video explains itself from there and their goal was to make it to the bottom, but they ended up at the top because the zombies chased them there.
