@7Terri It's true that the Colosseum was the name of Cincinnati's now USBank Arena, but what troubles me is that Cincinnati does not have a subway as mike says. And although I was only in Cleveland once briefly, I don't think they do either, so there definitely is some errors in the story. I hope its Cincinnati though, cause it would be more more great Rock and Roll story to claim!
@Rocketpalmgrenade That is correct that Cincinnati does not have a subway, and they are in desperate need of some type of rapid transit right now. But the residents still think of it as a small town and many resist change. This is still a great story though, I loved hearing it!
@coomason5 Not anymore! But in hindsight, we wouldn't be still talking about The Monkees without his sugar-coated catalog that got them the notoriety in the beginning. I still am a fan of the post Kirshner more! That's when The band "The Monkees" was born and the songs starting cooking!

This happened in Cleveland not Cincinatti because their is no plaza near the concert hall which they played at, but their is one near the concert hall in Cleveland along with a hotel right across the mall where they could have stayed. I hope this helps those who have heard it was Cleveland not Cincinatti or visa versa. :)

Mike wasn't my favorite, but I do think that his sense of comedy felt the most natural of the four guys. His great storytelling here just feels easy.

Mike often refuses his Monkees past. but times like this you can see.... he loved it and he still does
and i've read this story before on paper
but now, now i'm watering at the eyes.
It's one thing to see them ripping down a hallways being chanced by girls on the show
it's another when they REALLY ARE running for their lives ! lol Just imaging this is great
