@xVeXxeD Hi there, I'm sorry, but you must have posted your question on the wrong video, because I didn't play any cannons in this video. cheers,Kevin.
@TheWestSux hi there, I have had a max, but I have only been able to post vids of me making 138/135s total clearances . cheers for the question, Kevin.
@kevy62 Hey! I am rather confused. Say I try to shoot a straight black shot and reverse the white ball in line for the red, should I give a spin? Because whenever I don't, the white ball reverses in the same line as I hit it in and the angle for the red ball is off. Could you help? I hope I didn't confuse you with my lengthy explanation. Thanks :)
@koalagirl1234 Hi there, I'm sorry for what seems to be a very late reply, but I have only just opened your message. The short answer is yes. However you will need to experiment with the amount needed due to using different tip brands & hardness. Start with a couple of mill more than you think , then slowly reduce the amount until you find that the shot becomes comfortable for you to : pot the ball & gain the correct position. cheers,Kevin.
@01127672222 Hi there Karan, Yes, you do have to re-adjust your aim very slightly, but how much "you" have to allow for is down to each individual . This is loosly based on the amount of side required x by how far you are away from the target x by the pace used in the shot x by the flex in your cue.. This is called advanced guesswork & can take a lot of practice to get right. cheers, Kevin.
@01127672222 Hey dude that's no problem, but please remember that side should only be used if no logical alternative exists. Also take time to learn how much your cue "throws" off line, thanks for the question & good luck with your practice, & do keep in touch...cheers, Kevin
the shot at 2:59 how was that played to get the ball just behind the red? i only manage to get the ball either straight back or straight forwards, any attempts of side fail me
@hkarir Hi there, try to relax, that's the first thing to do. Now if you are standing on the same side of the table as in my video, try this: cue up & address the table as normal (as if to pot the ball) now move your whole action to the right of the line of aim to the corner (strike the cueball @ between 3 & 5 o'clock) now watch the cueball move back to the left after contact. it should move "back & to the left" let me know how you get on.. cheers,Kevin
@kevy62 First of all, thanks for these great techs.
I am also confused about shot at 2:59. Could you please explain more about "move your whole action to the right of the line of aim to the corner"? does it mean moving whole body to right or just the arms direction? I am confused :(
@leoawara Hi there, This is playing with parrallel side. Move your back foot very slightly to the right of the line of aim, along with your whole cue action. You should now be playing through the right side of the cueball. (you will not be aiming at the center of the pocket) but that's ok.
Strike the cueball at around 4- 5 o'clock & this should force the cueball back & to the left . With practice this technique will enable the cueball to be positioned where you choose. cheers..K
@rossweed1 Hi there, this video is showing 56 comments, although only 50 are showing due to being duplicatates... you can say what you like (if it is about the video) but no swear words though, & thanks for taking the time to post a comment, cheers .... K
hey kevy62, nice video you have there. You demonstrated both stun and stun/run shot, but I still cann't understand how to do both different shots because both of those shots look like its the same way of hitting but the results are different. Mind explaining in words here please? Thx alot.
@HyuProductions H there, the reason the shots look very simular , but actually are very different is mainly because I'm deliberately either making my follow through either longer or shorter ( this enables me to still keep the same cue action) this can change the direction of the cueball,(if used correctly) either to stop it, or run it.(with the minimum of changes)
If you combine this type of cue action , with the position you strike on the cueball then the possibilities are endless. cheers,K
Hi Mate, Thanks alot for the info, i mainly play pool at work as we have a pool table downstairs, but i recently started playing snooker, really enjoying at the mo, just slightly unsure about how to get the ball to roll back? could you explain it a bit more please? thanks Kevy
@PrinceofPontus Hi there, I think you have already answered this question yourself on the video "snooker tips# simple method to screw back" but yes, you just need to be sure you accelerate through the cueball & also try to keep the cue low & as level as possible to gain the desired amount of bottom/screw . thanks for taking the time to post...cheers,K
@Zacthevidman Hi there, in this case no, I'm using the same power but I'm striking the cueball in slightly different positions on the clock to achieve the desired effect . Of course there are times where you simply have to play a slow screw shot , or a gentle cannon to hold position instead of using power to control the cueball . I have only used the method in this video to show how positions can be gained by basically using one stroke (making positional play easier to learn) cheers K
hey kev 1st of great video... and second what do you think is a great snooker cue? is ash wood any good? i got this ronnie cue and a carbon fiber cue but i dont like them. the ronnie is not ashwood thou
@SteveoMagician Hi Steve, I prefer a handmade ash & ebony cue ( I don't have to worry about cost like most ) but we are all different, & can make choices to suit our own style of play & value for money. IE : how much we use it & level of play. One word of advice though , the carbon cues I have seen don't seem to work on a snooker table. (they flex too much) but in the end it's all down to each player. Perhaps try some house cues in your local club, I'm sure they'll sell you one cheap...K
@kevy62 yerh i know what your saying about the carbon cue. i have only used it once but i only got it from a friend coz my tip jumped of half way though a game and bought it on him there n then. and yea ill try out a hand made ash. thanks
@SteveoMagician Please don't go spending a small fortune on a cue you may not even like..! instead try a few of your friends cues ,or maybe buy a genuine "ash" cue from ARGOS for around £30.00 or less, but before you pay out your dosh , try as many cues as you can until you find one that...
A, suits your playing style, & budget.
B, seems to be well ballanced to your taste. (tried over a full range of shots)
C, preferably from a company who will accept returns if a fault develops.
You seem yo know, a lot of information and quite frankly these videos help me ALOT. i was wondering if u play for a team or something similar? U seem to know alot so i was just wondering how you can play.
@RyanWatchesNaruto Hi there, I'm happy that you have gained something from watching my videos, & yes I do play in 3 teams , but I'm unsure what you mean by the phrase "how you can play" in your question. cheers..K
I have played pool for year's and have 68 trophies for it. I have started to play snooker now as i dont get no enjoyment out of pool anymore. I played the other day and got a couple of 20 plus break's, i know nothing speacial but gave me a lot more pleasure then playing pool. I want to get to a standard where i can play for a local snooker team, there is a snooker coach near me a grade C his last name Dunkley in Southampton, would he be good for me or would i need to go to a grade A
I tend to think that a smooth consistant cue action is far more useful than power. If you think about it , you can always develop more cue power over time, but you must already posess a smooth action, In other words, the cue action "must" always come first.. cheers, Kevy.
@hump5899 ... hi there. I'm sorry but it could be tonnes of things, but if I were to make a wild guess, perhaps you are not cueing in a straight line.
(ie: cueing across the ball)
have a friend check this for you. It is a good place to start anyway, good luck...Kevy.

Mate, i'm very like your videos, your effort really priceless, after watching, i'm improving my skills, thanks so much, anyway what cue r u using? very nice shaft there :)
yes to be ideal , but if not, play the shot as shown to see the difference, you will learn by making mistakes, try to remember them & play in the correct form every time you address the table.
