I remember my parents taking me to Lenox Square back in the 60s. Back then Lenox Square was considered Suburban. Rich's (Macy's) department store had a branch there. Back then it was the only mall to go to. At Christmas, we would go downtown to the main Rich's store to see the "Great tree". Ofcourse, back then, you did not have to worry about gangs and being shot walking out of the mall.

Lenox square is not in Downtown Atlanta. It's in Buckhead about 6 miles from downtown.

@BrokenSilence08 well Lenox was the "it" shopping place way back in the day... like blue blood atlanta kinda shit. Old ladies in Benzes, that kinda thing... but as soon as new money started comin around (i.e. Usher) it turned into a stage for reality shows and hood rat rappers and so now Phipps (across the street) is a little more upscale and exclusive. although the real stores like LV and Hermes at lenox have chose to stay its been made public they dont like the "attention". if u get my drift.

@lvatlenox Nay it wasn't the new money moving in it was GBI running the mob out. The Itlian mob used to own most all in Buckhead as far as shops and dinning and clubs and they kept the area safe. When they were ran out it was an open ticket for the ghetto to move in. The Lenox use to have such neat shops. I like Phipps as well! I miss old Buckhead!

this is definitely the best mall in Georgia i've been to.... i actually got to see and and get an autograph from "Keri Hilson" there.. it was AWESOME!!....

traffic can be brutal though...

you are totally right, this mall is amazing... the american eagle there is one of the biggest in the country. theres an amazing sony style store there. oakleys store. also a nike store. international-brand carrying stores. theres a huge apple store, of course... hehe... the food court is AHHHmazing. everything from california pizza to panera bread. theres something for any foodie fan! theres also a french connection store, armani exchange... etc... right across the street is a saks!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very small mall. I used to work there when I was younger. I can tell you from experience, its a nice mall.

Celebs and wealthy people hang out there. But you also have your ghetto crowd and wannabe gansta's that chill there too.

It's a combination of both worlds.

Lenox is a really nice mall except a bunch of ghetto people with no money hang around it because of the MARTA stop. Recently though they have really beefed up mall security. With all the police around I think it scared some of those people away...

I went to ATL recently and Lenox and Phipps are two of the most amazing malls I've ever seen. Oh, and if you haven't already, try the food at The Clubhouse..its awesome.

Lenox Square is the hoodrat mall. Across the street is Phipps which is a lot nicer but the good stores are spread between both of em... And that Valet shit at Lenox is some bullshit they take to damn long to get your car out i had to wait like 15 minutes...

Lenox Square is the only mall I've seen in which, upon entering, you immediately walk directly into the main mall corridor.

Phipps Plaza is more upscale than Lenox because it features more conventional luxury nameplates, while Lenox is more youth-oriented.
