unfortunetly this is true. when she was little she was amazing but they made her sing more childish to fit her school girl image and it damaged her voice. along with smoking, drugs and alcohol, she's been through a lot. i mean there's some good notes in there. the voice is still there. its just hard for her to access it after the damage and when she dances as much as she does. she gets it! that takes a lot of breath support and so does singing, you can't sing when ur out of breathe.

unfortunetly this is true. when she was little she was amazing but they made her sing more childish to fit her school girl image and it damaged her voice. along with smoking, drugs and alcohol, she's been through a lot. i mean there's some good notes in there. the voice is still there. its just hard for her to access it after the damage and when she dances as much as she does. she gets it! that takes a lot of breath support and so does singing, you can't sing when ur out of breathe.

What you say is true of most pop music. Pop music is becoming more and more 'manufactured' with increasing levels of technology. It seems that you have to go back to pre Beatles Revolver era to hear authentic performances. The Beatles and their producer, George Martin, in pushing the envelope for studio production, helped cause the deterioration. They were not alone: Phil Spector, Berry Gordy (Motown), and Mitch Miller all pushed in the same direction. Technology is the real villain, IMHO.
