seems like the back side windows are too easy to take off..does that not leave the jeep open to robbery? or does the tension of the soft top hold them there until loosened near the windsheild? jw thnx
@johnson200gw dont keep anything valuable that would make someone want to get inside. i leave my jeep unlocked because i would rather have my 30$ radio stolen than my 70$ door skin getting slashed.
I kinda dig the fastback look on the JK, especially since the hard top is a square back. it offers a different look at the cost of some interior volume.....top removal time has never been an issue, except in the days of snaps on the CJ models....that sucked!
The "fastback" look is available with our Trektop NX top. It's great looking, especially on the 4 door (in my opinion). It is a little slower to fold down, since there aren't any bows helping the process. But not a lot slower. It's a great top.
My first Jeep was an old Jeepster Commando, and it had snaps all around the back, so yeah, I agree about that!
Personally I'd just the jeep to the dealership and make them do it every time I needed the top to be taken down or for them to put the top back up. Just because I'm cool like that. :)
"JK" is short hand for the newest model of Jeep Wrangler. Any Wrangler made from 2007 is a JK. A four door JK is officially called a "Wrangler Unlimited."
The previous model of Wrangler, made from 1997-2006 was called the "TJ."
Have you ever seen a video on youtube with the header saying "roadtrip from paris to berlin", and when the cars have reached Berlin, they spend the same amount of time in the video, to show you, that they drive the exact same way back....
...i think you should have stopped recording this at 1:48
Actually, it's a 2010 (or later) model soft top. It uses a cable instead of the plastic canards (clips) around the windows. Definitely makes it easier and quicker. If you have an earlier model Jeep, you need to add a couple of minutes to undo the window clips. Cheers!
I'm happy with my Freedom Hard Top as I know to many that have had their soft tops slashed or screwed with.

In a Cadillac all you do is press a Button. Now that is easy.

Except it's obvious the clips around all windows were undone before you started the video.
