  • This goy is a genious

  • THE BEST !!!!

  • That's true, 4rainbowed. And those are great stamps. Thank you most kindly for putting Rory's live stuff out here. He was a master of his trade and dearly beloved by all. The caption under his picture in the Rolling Stone Illustrated History of Rock says simply "guitarist extraordinaire". I wish I had seen him connect with an audience like this.

  • Always Irish ,.,.,.,

  • Rory

    Great

    Perfekt

  • There are only three stamps in Ireland of musicians who were popular in the 1960s-1970s; Van Morrison, Rory Gallagher, and Phil Lynott. Only Van is still alive. How sad. All that talent..!!!

  • @4rainbowed U2 is also on an Irish stamp

  • @chiefthing Yeah, I know-- it's why I tried to keep the timeline to the 60s and 1970s-- though U2 was around then, they hadn't made it internationally to the point where Van Morrison did.

  • saw him in new zealand in 1980, way back. Not sure if he played this track, but he did play Follow Me, Off the handle, and others

  • he looks like ELVIS

  • rory looks like a cross of a young clint -eastwood and hugh jackman.

  • Wow.. I see John Cusak as well hawk65.

Never heard of them...Thanks to ISA..Now I have..

    So much passion..FABULOUS!!

  • Yeah. ive always thought of a film about Rory with Cusack playin his role!! He looks a lot like the young Rory...

  • 5 stars ...lor 5 million stars on voting?

  • 0:49 makes me smile =]

  • This is so extrodinairy, so passionate, brings tears in my eyes to see this man play the gitar with such devotion, with all his sences... full of emotion and clearly not only for him self. Wish I could have known him.. Greats.

  • Fantastic ! Love you so much Rory . Wish you were still here ...

  • Rory rules. It's incredible that a man with his superior talents, in guitar (and fine vocals as well), was such a humble and gracious person. This is the true spirit of the Irish. I am very proud of the fact that I have some Irish blood in me. He was an example to ALL mankind, not just the Irish. A great ambassador for the Emerald Isle. RIP Rory, we love you. I am sure you are doing great things on the other side. (The Lord knows His own.)

  • "the true spirit of the Irish"... I only wish it was, my friend.

Its the true spirit of the best of the Irish... maybe one out of 10 people. Unfortunately this 'celtic tiger' witnessed a different type come more and more to the fore.

  • Sorry, no man! I have to listen to this great music every week!

    Krijn =)

  • Brilliant! I grew up with the Irish Tour album... Played it for over 30 years. Great film too, Irish Tour! Gives a great insight in who Rory actually was. Great compliments to Rod de'Ath, Gerry McAvoy and Lou Martin (y'all still here?). I'll have a Guinness on you all!
