  • i eat a TON of peanut butter, don't really do that much exercise, but am still pretty fit, like peanut butter doesnt seem to have any adverse affect on weight :D have to say, the only type of sandwich i eat is peanut butter or bacon, so i really should be fat : / btw good luck with the weight lifting, and sorry about your toe, that looked sore >_<

  • for protein: please don't drink protein shakes like whey or creatine. It may make you bulk on the short term but it kills your kidneys in the long term. Eat a balanced diet, eat tuna, eggs, and chicken.

  • Yeah, I'm starting Computer Science down in Cork in a few weeks and Maths wasn't a requirement at all, which was strange. I'd say I can handle it though, we'll see how it goes.

  • There are a couple bad thing about black ops... The killstreaks don't count toward your next killstreak... And there are only 50 levels and 5 prestiges... This will be horrible because the online gameplay will be shoter than all the other Call of duty games...

  • Its too early for you to be using supplements effectively, so I wouldnt bother with them unless you get really serious, what you can get from health stores and some supermarkets are something called bounce. Theyre stodgy little balls of pure protein and carbohydrate...

  • To help with workouts I'd say use N-OXplode and after just some Whey protein, but the main thing is just keeping consistent and eating healthy.

  • hey man eggs are a great source of protein as well as nuts meat etc. Chocolate milk is great for after workouts.. honesty you need more than just that though .. go to the nearest store and pick up some weigh protein mix and put it in milk.. youll gain muscle much faster this way.. ohh and its ideal to consume protein within 30 minutes after your workout.

  • protein? yeh protein shakes are a good way of getting that protein down, but supplements should really be avoided they're not as good as real food. Lean meat is my personnel source its healthy, go to tesco or something and find a good piece (loin) of meat and just cook that preferably grilled to get rid of some fat look for (beef good quality though as some are high in cholesterol), chicken and turkey also fish and seafood is very good especially salmon if you like it

  • @gilford5 lean meat isnt necessarily healthy either, its all about how its prepared at the butcher. just about all butchers inject the animal carcass with nitrogen to help separate the meat from bone which hangs around in the meat even after cooked and that actually would do more damage than protien shakes.

  • @Pyropuncher Maths is going to be a big part of any computer science course though. I finished down in Dublin 2 years ago. You just have to knuckle down and do it. I can't understand how a computing based course could go ahead without maths.

  • Protein Info:

    Whey and Soy are really good sources of protein so look for foods containing a moderate amount. If your going to eat a hamburger flavor normally put soy sauce on it, it won't taste any different if you  put salt on it after you stop cooking it.. (salt will absorb soy and taste like salt)

    Eggs, specifically the egg whites are great although you should eat both.

    Dairy products, meat, & fish.

    Whole wheat objects instead of norm (pasta, brown rice, unbleached bread)

  • Go easy on the deadlift too! Lift lighter weights so you slowly tune the muscles into action. It's the exercise that activates the most muscles in your body as well so that's probably why you're gettin it tight! Too much strain too early.

  • When i was fighting (nothing like dedicated lifting) I had to bulk up to 170 from 155. I ate 5 times a day, drank 2 weightgainers and 2 wheys a day. When i ate it dinner it was all very lean steak and chicken breast as far as protein. Boiled egg whites and chunky peanut butter sandwiches on flax seed bread helped me alot for lunch. Weightgainers for breakfast and before sleep, and wheys in between meals. Eat bananas for snacks especially when your sore.

  • Alrite lad. If you want to bulk up just tell yer Ma d double up on the dinners! Gain size while you're building muscle then trim down afterwards. Eat a lot (healthy stuff obv). Cut out the takeaways! There's nothin wrong with a big greasy Ulster at the weekend tho. If you're good all week there's no reason why you can't reward urself.Drink protein shakes before and after training at before bed to help muscle recovery.Sci-MX is a good brand. Don't buy any other crap like weight gain or creatine.

When I'm training I tend to eat a lot of protein based food like chicken, fish, eggs etc as well as natural whey protein shakes to help feed the muscles. You need carbs too for energy so it's good to eat ur spuds as well! I don't agree with taking artificial supplements. I think you build a more natural and stronger build if you do every thing naturally.

  • @Briand010 Do not fucking listen to that shit protein supplements yes shakes are supplements these supplements are obviously enhanced raw protein which is dangerous because it is easy to take these shakes in excess etc and excess protein is dreadful for your body maybe giving you kidney stones, ketosis and awfuls hit. Stick to real food its more manageable, healthy and enjoyable.

  • @gilford5 Completely disagree mate. Whey protein is not an unnatural supplement. What you are saying completely flies in the face of every major health publication that recommends that athletes take protein to aid muscle growth and recovery. Whey protein actually reduces heart disease and may help prevent cancer. It is actually a dietary supplement. It just happens to be used by athletes because of its properties. Whey protein is REAL food if you at how it is made!!

  • Eat almonds and almond butter instead of peanut butter. It has less saturated fat. Drink lots of non fat milk. The best thing to eat is a powder whey protein. The cheap stuff will have lots of fat and sugar. If you can afford it go for something with low fat and sugar and mix it with non fat milk. Good luck with the lifting. Get lots of sleep too, your body needs the rest.
