Hahaha I owned him with 3 rookies xD I just needed to switch the hp with that modokibetamon's effect and cast selfdestruct on 1st round using solarmon~ 2nd round I'd cast another modoki and his 2nd digimon will have 10hp xD and so on~ COOKED!

i love this game so much 0.0.. i played it when i was 6 up to now =) but out of all the battles this one i enjoy the most becuase of all the 7s cards in it... all i use is low lvl cards like rookies that have spec attack as counter circle and i use cards like hacking and data copy on them .. i can only hope he boosts his digimon attack with a 7s when i use data copy or counter :) (btw if you want to know a mad fusion card glicth msg me..)
This ''A'' is too easy for me...I killed the three digimons he put in the field (Apocarimon, Venom Myotismon and Guardromon) with my Flamedramon. This is the easiest battle in game when you have Flamedramon in your side!
@Runeblademaster well, i've defeated him more than once, i've managed some clean victories over him, though, this fight just asked to be recorded and uploaded, i mean, YOU don't get to be whopped badly in the first rounds and then make an epic comeback everyday, do you?

Ummm..... In my oppinion, Patch Of Love will work better. Since A uses all Black cards anyways, Patch of Love will always work. Plus it doesnt need to discard cards like High Speed Disk. Oh oh, and another technique is.. Make a deck with Digimon who has X Counter and then use cards like Saberdramon(Both player uses X) That OHKOes Apokarimon. >:3
@icyrain11 well this deck was pretty much what i used to get through everything xD after i went into wiseman tower, that's why it's not so anti-black.
and have you tried x countering a crash attack? that i remember crash attacks are unaffected by [X Counter] or [X to 0] abilities, though i might be wrong at that xD.
@MasterCleru Oh... You used a Deck with Rookie Digimon with O Counter all the way? o.O Lololol. And yeah, X Counter is the ultimate counters for Crashers. I wuvs using it. 8) Another Apokarimon counter... ModokiBetamon. You'd die if you used it and he didnt crash or somethin(Oh wait... You'd still die if he crashed xD). But if you used it while you have a Digimon with bad HP, you'd kill it next turn. Risky though. xP
@icyrain11 it might sound laughable XD but i do know that kind of deck can be a pain in the back <w<. specially as there are no cards that directly target rookies xD.
and i used it for the fun of doing so xD... it was somehow fun to see ultimates fall because of a rookie.
and yeah, the rookie rare cards are the best for HP control.

@MasterCleru I didn't like to make specific decks to specific oponents. When I was making my own deck, i was making it to be able to win against every oponent. I used the same deck all along the game too (of course, changing cards one by one when i win something useful)

@Hektesh59 Well you could say he's only the mid part boss of the game.
But, since the credits roll after his defeat, then he's the final boss of the game, making the next part of the game more of a bonus part of it (well i think of it that way) you can get the 7s Cards in the next part of the game, but sadly, there's no epic bosses like A to use them on xD.
it has been 7 years since I defeat "A" in the second time by using only counter digimon , I remember last round was my Exveemon againest VenomMyostimon.
@nightwolfthepoochyen two ultimates and one rookie... black gatomon is considered as a rookie by the game. xD though he's a palette swap of gatomon...

Wow, that was epic. When I fought him I got Greymon out early and kept whoring O counter. Your tactic was quite risky, lucky the idiot used Grand Sevens instead of Speedy or Misty, since both of them would've been much better choice. But then again, its just CPU

As mentioned, Psychemon, ModokiBetamon and ToyAgumon help, and WereGarurumon gives you Hacking for a reason.
Fuse. Making more Hackings will help, as will Patch of Love. Silver Ball will be brilliant if you can get it, but it's rare. There's a fusion guide on GameFAQs that will give you some ideas on how to get them. Of course it's not complete, but fusing for options is fairly simple, and you should get the hang of the patterns quickly.
well it will be hard for me to remember XD but i think the list was as follows: Digimons: 3 Partners (for the exp...) 4 candlemons 3 Penguimons (those are the only rookies with O counter) As for the options, i'm pretty sure they're all 4 of each 4x Hacking Card (UNLUCKY FIGHT WAS UNLUCKY! XD) 4x Large Recovery Floppy 4x Level Balancer 4x HiSpeed Disk 4x Attack Chip
@Naglfar52 you should know how to humiliate the analogman. i didnt add my partners on the deck. i only used candlemon (o counter) to defeat all ultimate level cards. and my support cards are sharmamons (opponent's hp are halved and opponent's damage is doubled)..
this was actually the easiest fight in the game imo.
just set it so your partner has "counter o" for his special attack, then discard all cards in your deck to get to the bottom, so you can play it. Then spam special attacks. Pretty cheap, but w/e

You can only get that card after you beat the game, go to begginer's city battle cafe and rosemon should be there, if you can win 6~10 matches against her without leaving the battle cafe you'll get the "Download Digivolve" Card, she also gives you the "Rosemon's Lure" Card (i don't really remember how many times you need to beat her to get this one).
what do you mean by "you can't beat him without cheats?" my tactic most of the time is using a Rookie-Option deck, maybe not the brightest nor the most impressive thing but it sure does work, specially on this battle.
I dont get it oO he kills you with one hit,regardless your digimon type.if u have counter o he triangle attacks you and youre gone.theres no way to beat . plus i only have 1 recovery card -.-
hacking card is your friend there xD... trust me, for that battle i had 4 (yes FOUR) hacking cards, it was too bad luck i couldn't draw one on my first hand.
hacking card, or yellow digimon that can manipulate HP are really useful on this battle
there are three rare rookies that have HP manipulation support effects, Psychemon, Modoki Betamon and there's another one i can't remember, but they're all rookies.
Well, i KNOW low level packs have often all colors of rookie digimon, just go to junk city and fight the rare card tamers there a few times and hope you have luck getting them.
About the hacking card, go to wiseman's tower fusion shop and try combining level C digimon of the same color (red+red etc.) to make option cards and be patient.
I'd tell you exactly which fusions have "hacking" card as a result... if i remembered any xD... hope this helps.
I beat A with a Rare type Digimon Deck. (The most wimpy type of Digimon Card in the game in overall stats. However, their effects are amazing. In fact, I used their card depletion effects to cripple analog man's deck. rather than attacking him head on.
I beat A with only a Gabumon,ZOMG,about 2 years ago,Apokarimon just keep doing Dark Zone,then he threw a Guardromon,who crash-attacked me,and that's for him,he ran out of cards.
In any case,I still had 4 cards on my deck.*cough*PARTNERAWFULLKILLAGE*cough*
If A was smart he could have used his second Download Digivolve to V-Myotismon but I guess you got lucky, but this game brings back memories. Thanks for posting!
I would've had an epileptic seizure with all the best sevens in his hand too XD Thankfully he used the weakest one. Mystic is like the best card in the game.
The first time I fought A was downright lucky. Used Augumon and just kept doing his X move (lowers the opponent's o attack to 0) and for some reason he kept using the O attack... even with holy 7 I managed to take him down just doing that over and over. But I digress, thanks for posting, good memories :)
God I was so close. I had the o to 0 card used and i was using o on his last card. He for some reason to decided to use triangle destroying me. If he had pressed o I would've won cuz I went first that turn and my x was attackfirst so I would've gone the next turn and beat him. Now I'm pissed off... and I couldn't save it either!

@Hektesh59 well, yeah, it is a 5 round match, so i get your point.
here's a few reasons i can come up with:
1.- almost every round is won with one hit, while on most normal matches, it might take 2 or 3 attacks to defeat an enemy.
2.- i was using an emulator, so i guess it shortened the loading times as if you were using a CD.
And that's all, because the video wasn't modified in any way, except for the sound.

And... all i know is you must go through every extra arena on every city to get to the end of the game, your final match is at beginner city <w<''...

Oh, next time, try a combination of Muchomon's X attack and Saberdramon as support card. That's how I killed Apocalymon on my first try.
Hacking and Balancers are good, too, for VenomMyotismon. Guardromon should die quickly ;)

A's hand is always the same. He doesn't shuffle.

@Naglfar52 you should know how to humiliate the analogman. i didnt add my partners on the deck. i only used candlemon (o counter) to defeat all ultimate level cards. and my support cards are sharmamons (opponent's hp are halved and opponent's damage is doubled)..

this was actually the easiest fight in the game imo.
just set it so your partner has "counter o" for his special attack, then discard all cards in your deck to get to the bottom, so you can play it. Then spam special attacks. Pretty cheap, but w/e

You can only get that card after you beat the game, go to begginer's city battle cafe and rosemon should be there, if you can win 6~10 matches against her without leaving the battle cafe you'll get the "Download Digivolve" Card, she also gives you the "Rosemon's Lure" Card (i don't really remember how many times you need to beat her to get this one).

too bad you cant beat him without cheats,he allways has a ultra level digimon with 2400 hp + a 1000 hp recovery card after one turn...

what do you mean by "you can't beat him without cheats?" my tactic most of the time is using a Rookie-Option deck, maybe not the brightest nor the most impressive thing but it sure does work, specially on this battle.

I dont get it oO he kills you with one hit,regardless your digimon type.if u have counter o he triangle attacks you and youre gone.theres no way to beat . plus i only have 1 recovery card -.-

hacking card is your friend there xD... trust me, for that battle i had 4 (yes FOUR) hacking cards, it was too bad luck i couldn't draw one on my first hand.
hacking card, or yellow digimon that can manipulate HP are really useful on this battle
there are three rare rookies that have HP manipulation support effects, Psychemon, Modoki Betamon and there's another one i can't remember, but they're all rookies.

Psychemon: Own Hp becomes same as opponents.
Modoki Betamon: Opponents Hp become same as own. Own attack power becomes 0.
ToyAgumon: Discard 1 card at random form own hand. Hp of both players are 200.
You could take apokarimon down in your first turn, since A will always have 1st turn (since you'll be second, you'll have the first attack)
here, a way to do it.
Digimon with an attack power of 200 or more and a ToyAgumon in hand.
trust me, rare digimon support effects are useful at times.

Well, i KNOW low level packs have often all colors of rookie digimon, just go to junk city and fight the rare card tamers there a few times and hope you have luck getting them.
About the hacking card, go to wiseman's tower fusion shop and try combining level C digimon of the same color (red+red etc.) to make option cards and be patient.
I'd tell you exactly which fusions have "hacking" card as a result... if i remembered any xD... hope this helps.

I beat A with a Rare type Digimon Deck. (The most wimpy type of Digimon Card in the game in overall stats. However, their effects are amazing. In fact, I used their card depletion effects to cripple analog man's deck. rather than attacking him head on.

I beat A with only a Gabumon,ZOMG,about 2 years ago,Apokarimon just keep doing Dark Zone,then he threw a Guardromon,who crash-attacked me,and that's for him,he ran out of cards.
In any case,I still had 4 cards on my deck.*cough*PARTNERAWFULLKILLAGE*cough*

The first time I fought A was downright lucky. Used Augumon and just kept doing his X move (lowers the opponent's o attack to 0) and for some reason he kept using the O attack... even with holy 7 I managed to take him down just doing that over and over. But I digress, thanks for posting, good memories :)

God I was so close. I had the o to 0 card used and i was using o on his last card. He for some reason to decided to use triangle destroying me. If he had pressed o I would've won cuz I went first that turn and my x was attackfirst so I would've gone the next turn and beat him. Now I'm pissed off... and I couldn't save it either!

It's best to start off with a champion digimon against A. Someone who has HP more then 680 and less then 990, and O counter . Someone like Greymon
