The water park was great, would have loved to experienced a lot more in Paradise Island though. I'm hoping to come back here soon, not on a cruise this time, maybe spend a week here or so. You cannot stay at the RIU - or anywhere off resort and "go in anytime". The lobbies and casion yes - but definitely not the water park or all the pools, aquariums etc.

I spent the most amazing six days of my 13 years of life in atlantis. It is so beautiful, and while you may think it is commerical, it is not really. there is so much raw beauty with the marine life and flowers and palm trees. The activities are fun and endless. There are no hilights because every moment was amazing. Me and my cousins promised ourselves we would go back and I know we will because we loved it so much! Today is the year anniversary of my first dady there and i miss it so much :)
My wife and I got hit really hard in the economy in 2008, so we were unable to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Things are much better financially now,and we are now going here in 2012 to celebrate and makeup that 10 year we missed. I can't wait, it looks so much fun.
I've Benny their it's marvelous just get the meal plan because my family spent 323$ on food and only had to pay 32$ and that cave thing with fish is the abyss the scariest waterside ever so yeah and go to the caverens best place to eat I had a 100$ steak yummmmmmmmm

@nopiluvin Well, I'm not sure what you were drinking but the drinks at the beach bar and all over the resort are 8.95 for frozen drinks and some of the best I've ever had. Maybe if you order a top of the line at one of the Gourmet restaurants it might be $16 - but if that shocks you then I'm not sure why you are going to a gourmet restaurant.
There are only vendors on the beach because all beaches in the Bahamas are public - always found them laid back and not pushy or pestering at all.
@AtlantisFamilyFunCom I might have exaggerated a little but to compare water...You can get a bottle of water for one dollar in town but in atlantis it's 5-6 bucks...The vendors were very annoying and you can't escape it. The jet ski guys probably topped the cake on disturbing us though. It was an enjoyable trip and just got back home from there on Tuesday but if we go back to the island, it will more than likely be Sandals.

Hey, my family and I are planning on going to Atlantis in July, do you have any tips for us and maybe some definite go-to spots? We also have a question about footwear. When walking around the water area or outside the hotel, do we have to wear scandals or water shoes at all times? been there, it was amazing. you can stay at some cheaper hotels nearby and still get an Atlantis pass to get into the resort. absolutely beautiful. The two big slides are awesome, you go through a shark tank. fantastic vacation!

no you have to buy a day pass to go beyond lobbies. $35 to walk around and visit The Dig. $100 - $150 to use all activities.

Ahaa I was at the coral towers ;D. I stayed for like 4 weeks, it was insanee :) but you have to walk so far to get to the pools and stuff, but it's worth itt

im going this saturday! i have a condo there so my family pretty much goes every year. its reallyyyy nice but can get quite expensive. :]

I want to go too. Do you recommend getting the food plan ahead of time? Where did you stay? I heard they try to sneak extra cost in at the last minute. Maybe I 'll see you there!

i just order room service and they charge it on my room key. i reccomend the coral towers but if you are going with a you husband or something ten you may like the royal tower

Which one's bigger guys, The Atlantis Hotel in the Bahamas or the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai? I'm definitely paying a visit to the Atlantis Hotel next year. This is definitely on my list when I visit the Caribbean in 2010!
