i can't believe FOX hasn't aired that episode in the US. probably the most redemptive episode i have ever seen in any series. Don't get me wrong, i love Dollhouse, but that episode sets it even higher in terms of quality and depth of the story and just sheer awesomeness. i'm happy Ztélé aired it here in Quebec.

This episode kinda sucks because it tells you how it all ends so there is no surprises... like when in s2 alfa shocked pauls brain and it looked like he may never wake up, but everyone who've seen this episode know that he is actually ok.

but you know what will happen next, not everything but the most important things. Caroline is back, Caroline and Paul aren't together, the world is in chaos, dr Sanders is back etc.

this episode, like the series finale would be awesome but like the end of season1 not so much.

no I'm saying that by watching this episode the last ep from season 1 we know some things what will happen so there is no surprise. like for example, in this episode we see that Paul is normal, and that Caroline is back, and some other things.. I'm not talking about E2 I'm talking about the whole show..

@tapests Yes he did, but Fox counted the unaired pilot as one of the contracted 13 and so he didn't get to air it.

Still He never intended it to air due to the fact that he scrapped the episode before he made this episode for international markets

Tapest is correct in saying that it was never supposed to air. Fox ordered 12 season 1 episodes, but they needed 13 for the dvd release. So Joss made Epitaph 1 on half the budget of a regular episode so there could be 13. The episode was not made to air on FOX. It was an afterthought. Joss wasn't even sure at that point that they were getting a second season.

LOL! True, I swear theyre always like "Who. Will. Die!" with so many trailers for eps of shows..but uhh..they did that with season 2 of The O.C., turns out Trey only gets shot. They also did it for an episode of NYC Prep, but it was a dog that died.

Plus of course it's been downloadable for some time. All tv, film and music really needs to be broadcast via donwload first and then made available for the alternative media (television, cinema, CD, DVD) second. It's only then business is going to start getting a handle on how to make money from it.

That's a strange thing to say. It is only a waste of time if you don't take anything from it. But TV can be quite enriching, and it can evoke emotions that you don't feel in real life. Best of all, it can make you think, if done correctly.
