  • Nice video!

  • too bad i even have the bad luck to born in the 2000 in mexico

  • Welcome to the Black Mesa Research Facility, where you will be reported to the high security branch of the transit system.

  • You can see the way the 4 locos sorta lick their tongue out at OPEC. I never get tired of looking at this video.

  • I think that only one is still in service. The other 5 have been replaced by the ex NdeM E60C-2s.

  • very nice we have a mineing railroad down here in East Texas ...Texas Utilitys Mineing Company all electric I understand they use some of the E60c units as well

  • Great horn!

  • Another great video. What is it like to have 4 active locos at one train? How heavy are these trains? At my company I am allowed to have 2 working locos only..

  • I think they haul 85 cars, each car with a capacity of 100 tons.

  • It would've been interesting to see BM&LP pick up the former BC Rail GF6C units when they pulled the plug on Tumbler Ridge. If I'm not mistaken, both systems use the same 50Kv, 60Hz power.

  • Cooooooool. Not many electric locos left in the states now.. shame.

  • I live not to far from the tracks that this train runs on and never really thought about the model but I always see them signs that say 50,000 volts. ha ha thanks to the comments I now know a little bit about the train I hear every day.

  • R those all electric or gas powered a little bit

  • All electric--50,000 volts.

  • Type "BMLP Cab Ride" in YouTube to see a video of an ex-NdeM E60C-2 cab ride.

  • BM&LP also has a very unique diesel locomotive called a TE 53-4E,(rebuilt from a GE U25B) they use it for pulling maintenance trains when there are catenary outages.

  • They didn't need the headend power that the CPs had--that was for passenger car heat and light.

  • Why did BM&LP use E60CFs? Why not E60CPs?

  • Ex N de M. Nice!!

  • That would be some job, wouldn't it!

  • cool video.

  • I think they are about 10-13 years younger.

  • I think that they're down to only one--the other five were being replaced by the E60C-2s.

  • Yep! Coal loader near Kayenta, about 75 miles to power plant just outside of Page.
