Babyhowdy, I agree with you. Linda was also very unhappy in her marriage in later years. She taped some interviews with a writer who was going to help her with a new cook book. Paul was so afraid of the contents being disclosed that he paid the writer something like a hundred thousand pounds to buy the tapes from him a couple of years ago. In the tapes, she talks about how unhapy she was with Paul - how controlling he was, etc.There was an article on line about this 2 years

@Hathor2006 Yes Paul was/is a controlling man, but according to friends they were very happy together right until the end and Linda could certainly handle him.I don't believe she would have ever complained about Paul on tape, she would have protected her children, even if she did feel that way, which doesn't seem to be the case.

She did complain to Tony, her friend/author of the cook book. He told of how she would meet him in tears.On those tapes, he relayed that Linda was quite open about how unappy her marriage was. He the said Linda wanted others to know the truth of her unhappiness. And that's why Paul paid 100,00. pounds to retrieve the tapes from Tony. This is a well documented story from 2 years ago when Paul was heading to divorce court. He didn't want Heather using the tapes, so instead bought them.

@Hathor2006 But as you stated HE said,He Stated, where is her voice in all these.I still don't know if Linda would have outright complained to someone though as her friend Danny Fields (who knew Linda way before Paul) stated Linda never complained it was not in her nature, She handled things.She had reason to complain yes. According to his book she still had to do for the kids, get up with them and everything else a Mom has to do when touring.That's why they stopped touring supposedly.

@Hathor2006 Also he seemed more devoted to her needs and wants in the last nine years of their marriage and wouldn't want people especially the children to know she was unhappy.I believe Danny was also a much closer friend given the length of their friendship as compared to a guy she met to write a cookbook with..I think Danny would have written about it as she had already died, and he did write thing he should have kept quiet about, so why not that.The book Linda McCartney~A Portrait

@bickie22 Yes and so did Jim Morrison, and several other rockers before they were well known.She did not take those pictures because of Paul's connections.They were really nobodies when she photographed them.She even stated that she had no idea she was photographing "future icons".
