  • Nice movie sir. Night scenes remind me of the video touch of the great filmaker Michael Mann. No music, THAT was a good choice, as we can hear what the trains have to say. I am still wonderin how yu managed to get that close(2:11) to the leader with those cops patrolling by(...nizc car officer!) Man, the train is like some wonded giant beast. Let me tell yu this:very strange, impressive and beautiful short movie yu got here mister. Thks

  • @NdarStL Thanks! The cops was gone by the time I was near the train.

  • why did he have his breaks on

  • they are not abandoned the engineers time on running the train ran out so he left it for the next crew.

  • @wampaAWESOMEsauce You got it brother. Train crews can only work for so long. Twelve hours I think it is, then another crew must take over, no matter where they are.

  • @fabio40 lol i know. but what if they were in the middle of nowhere?

  • @wampaAWESOMEsauce Then the railway calls them a taxi and it goes and picks them up and drops off the fresh crew.... assuming there are roads there of course.

  • When you run out of hours you have to stop, get in a cab and go home, next crew comes and takes over, they say this is cheaper than useing cabbose's.

  • The crew probably did their safty checks and locked it down. You shouldnt of been that close as you were. You were tresspassing.

  • @ExcaliburLink The flaw with that is that it makes sense. ;-)

  • Should've at least parked it in a siding.......

  • Also assuming they were on the hours of service law if a ride showed up they weren't about to wait around. Just get on the radio & say "our rides here, where's the relief crew?" They get their answer so after making sure the brakes are set among other things they leave. Its not a car, you can't just "knock it into gear". It doesn't work like that. I don't see him check the door so i have to assume the crew locked it. Some crews are like: "I work for the R.R. & you don't so fuck off" Never know.

  • Since its in Canada i can't say for sure how they do it BUT, past experence i've seen as long as no crossing were blocked they did nothing wrong. Just remove the reverser, lock the cab & get in their ride & go. The dispatcher had to be informed or they wouldn't have left. The relief crew could have got a late call or the deadhead driver might have been late. Only they know the truth. Some crewmen if you asked they'd say & others would tell you its none of your gdamn business. They can be dicks.

  • whats the whole story and also were the cops rr cops or like state

  • hey luvtrns4evr one of the units looks like a sd-70m but the other idk

  • The relief crew was home driving the old lady.

  • Actually it should NEVER be left alone or unattended OR in the middle of a city street or urban district by Railroad Safety Rules alone the driver did a big no-no because if the train had knocked into gear, been stolen, or anything like that he'd either be after a coaster, a load of joy-riding youths, or be the cause of an accident. This is a missed Crew Change however because of the location and the time it took for the crew to take over, normally the new crew is waiting for it when it arrives.

  • Cool...I guess >.>

  • They don't shut the engine's off to keep from paying taxes. As well as yes that is a crew change in progress but normally you see a rail crew standing by to take over.

  • @RedLego391

Very educated response to a 5 month old post, your basing your 3rd grade opinion on "pretty far". Good stuff, thanks for the laugh. You and the original poster are proof that you can't fix stupid, the rest of us just get to make fun of you. Have you been in Jackass movie?

  • @gearedsteam12

Since when do you care about post dates, retard?

  • La première loco était un GMD SD60F et l'autre, un SD70i ou SD75i (j'ai pas pu voir le numéro clairement)... en tout 8,100 hp!!

  • Are you sure that was the driver and not someone taking it for a joyride? lol

  • Yep, out of hours to work. Stop train, crew change!

  • Why does the video freeze at 1:24 and not allow me to even skip it forward?

  • the crew probably out lawed or whatever

  • I love the SD 40-2

  • Are those SD-70M locomotives? Love the sounds .

  • @luvtrns4evr I don't know, sorry, I'm not an expert lol

  • @luvtrns4evr The lead one is an sd60f, the second is an sd75i.

  • @luvtrns4evr The lead one is an sd60f, the second is an sd75i.

  • I can help, Lead unit is an SD60F, the trailing unit is a SD75I....

  • @luvtrns4evr First one is an SD60 from the eighties, and the 2nd one is an SD75i

  • @luvtrns4evr Those are SD60F's

  • @luvtrns4evr Locomotive # 5513 is a EMD SD60F.

  • @luvtrns4evr Looks like the leader is a C40-8M and the second locomotive is an SD75i.

  • The crews hours of service expired (12 hours) and a recrew was ordered. Happens everyday on railroads all over North America.

  • I didn't know that. Thanks for the info!

  • Great locomotives, that's wierd how they just left the locomotives there for that long??

  • I know, it was kinda wierd. By the way, realy nice channel you have man!!!

  • you shoulda took it for a test drive, haha jk

  • lol yeah, it could have been fun. But I thought for a second that the cops was going to give him a parking ticket lolll
