This little pedal packs a punch. It gave my amp a whole new texture/dimension to draw from. Really does something nice with single coils and HB's. For those of you who like to control your sound via your guitars volume knob, this pedal is perfect!

@MesaESP0131 Agreed,I adore my BBplus OD/boost,I can say that my T.C. Nova Delay and BBplus, alone could make just about any tube amp sound worlds better.

Walking through Greg Hows gear tour and hearing just how much he uses his BB,as well as Timmons,and Petrucci,I was supprized how much they use their BB's,not just lead tones,which made me try one and now I know why,lol.

As far as comparing it to an MK 4.23, the EP Booster will color the tone a bit more than the MK. I think the MK is a better "clean" boost and I like the EP for solos or when I want a little more crunch/drive. I have both and love both.

Try the Bad Bob Clean Boost. I love that pedal.. Also man.. Gearmandude is a nice guy but his demos are just plain bad.

Back in the day when OD and boost pedals were basically non-existant, there was a good reason for using an Echoplex as a boost. Nowawadays, there are so many better options out there, so I really don't get the purpose of this pedal at all, but hey....to each his own. Nice job anyway though, GMD.

I'm thinking about getting a clean or cleanish boost. I'd like to see this thing in a shoot-out with the RC or AC, and maybe the Super Chili and Flying Dragon. Right now, I'm using a Diamond Compressor as a boost...also considering the Maxon GE601 for some equalization and boost.
