Not going to lie, I like Chuck Jones' cartoons but I wasn't a fan of his version of Daffy. (The only two Jones shorts where Daffy wins are "A Pest in the House" and "Rabbit Fire").

But it looks like he's mellowed just a bit. His role in this new show has become more of the straight man for Daffy's craziness and Yosamite Sam's obnoxiousness to play off of. Instead of inflicting comic abuse on others, he's getting the tables turned on him now.

His expression is more of a resigned "Eh, whatever" like he's USED to weird shit going on

To be honest, he was never particularly bright, I just think that, over the years (try watching shows like Duck Dodgers to see what I'm tlaking about) he has been modelled after that particular part of his personality. Bugs....good Lord, poor Bugs, he's still sharp, still clever, and still generally ahead of the curve on everything Daffy attempts to do. I pity him for having the guy staying in his house, though.
