omg i loved his ride it was amazing. even though they sold the horse (no one knows how much though) i think the horse was sold in the millions though because he is gorg
It is not only a question of "mistakes" and we are talking about Freestyle not grand Prix...ther are some diffferences. And about Totilas...he is specialand edward Gal is a special rider. Even if Laura Berchtholsheimer was fantastic, too, and the WEG...As you should know Dressage competition are difficult to value fo us "non-professionists". But believ me, Edward and Totilas have been special. Unfortunately he lost the horse...for about 10 milion euros....
I feel like Totilas had more glaring errors than the other two. This horse is awsome, but it seems like his front end is way more developed than his hind end.
From what I had heard about this horse, he sort of seemed predestined to win. To be honest, I am no expert on Gran Prix -- and his ride was amazing live, but I'm not sure exactly why his was a better ride, because there were glaringly obvious mistakes. Regardless, beautiful horses, and an amazing show.
Maybe because that he had scored higher points on the parts that went well? Laura did a good job, but i don't really like her riding, she is very hard with her hands, it looks to me. Personally i also expected Imke to be on third place...
@ImAPaintedLark it's mostly because of his appearance and his natural abilities. This horse's gaits are naturally that extravagant. In this discipline the turnout of the horse is just as important as the ride itself. A horse who is more filled out and has more "WOW" movement will gain more points. And his mistakes in this test, although rather obvious, are covered by the horse's movements, abilities and also by the rider's experience.
@drshowhorsestexas because if u look at edward he doesnt move. thats what the judges look at a lot. and probably on who he is and his past dressage scores. that was like anky in the olympics. she had a big mistake but they never lowered her and let her place 2nd. there was a big fight over that.
@FinishtheRide Well, that used to be the case until he got a new rider. Now he moves stiff and doesn't even look like the same horse. It's a real shame.
his horse is all front end no hind
