Many armored personnel carriers during the Israeli war were made from Aluminum and after a few got hit by rounds the Israelis stopped riding around in them because the Aluminum would catch fire and not stop
aluminum to burn needs to be in a powdered form, its what's used in tomahawk missiles and several nasa Solid fuel rockets. What these guys have managed to do, is to burn the paint on the outside of the can, and make the thin aluminum a little malleable. Other than that, this is not being burned. (plus im gonna make a guess that this is not 100% aluminum)
the reason why i watched this was because i was confused; i have a torch, and was melting a piece of aluminium from a two ended compass just for fun - i kept heating the melted part, and it started giving off little tints of green. five seconds later, it burned on its own with a distinctive blue flame. i then said "ah shit" and droped it.
it did burn, but it wasnt self sustaining, unlike the powdered form.

Is that a real thermal image at 1:20 or is it just a false colored image?

You don't know what the word "burning" means

For this purpose, you might want to have the aluminum metal touch the tip of the inner cone of the flame, where gas flames are generally the hottest.
