but the pinky thing is a bit of a problem cos i've been playing like this all my life. i hate how it looks too but i just can't find a way to correct it. any suggestions?

i'm not too sure if there's actually anything that can be done except being self conscious. Maybe put a note on the piano that reads "Wirst + Pinky!" and keep reminding yourself about it.

Did you learn piano yourself by any chance?

nope i had a private teacher for 8 years. but my teacher was more a "get-your-notes-right" person so i didn't know of this problem until i saw the video!

and i've just realised. my pinky also sitcks out when i type! grr.

lol~ ^^ i guess you can try putting a tape around your pinky's joint as a reminder. Tape it around the joint, then bend it. o_O

my piano teacher was very specific about my hand position, but i never seem to get it perfectly correct. i guess either the teacher gave up on my hands or they just got better eventually.
