I think it is that, because if you stop and think about it, for you to go about your day and then be pulled into an interview, the interviewist is supposed to be doing 80%of the work. But when that person does a poor job of really leading the person into a lively conversation or asking good questions, then you wind up with this. DSF didn't act akward at all, the silence itself was just odd.
