The original PSP was the best. The psp games never got any better after the first couple years and I never had lag with the system. It can do things that the other cannot. They removed the infrared on the 2000+. With a hacked psp, you could use it as a Universal Tv Remote, Emulator (N64, GBA, GB, SNES, NES, WINDOWS 95/98), make custom boot videos, game boot, the options were endless. Now we have a crappy PSP go that can't backup your games or customize worth a shit.

I can't speak for the technology in it, but I know for a fact that the PSP 1000 is WAY more durable than the 2000. friend got in a car crash with a PSP on the passenger seat [exposed. no bag or anything]. car was wrecked, PSP was fine. just a few scratches on the faceplate. in contrast, my little bro dropped his PSP 2000. he's barely 4 feet tall, if that. it was smashed nearly beyond recovery. and the flooring was a rubber mat. so yeah, PSP 1000 > PSP 2000 in durability.

so yeah. 1k definitely better in terms of durability.
