  • m4a1 is for mens like a barby for womens :D

  • @natow96 not really but even if it is remember it's the A1 so there's probably gunna be tweaked in the future like the M16

  • i love these photo montages, shows people have pro google images skills.

  • Fail, the M4 was not to replace the M16 because it was too big. The M4 was to replace the M16 for it's Accuracy, Rate of Fire, and it's simplicity. Those are just to name a few. Plus the gun itself is a revolutionary design. Users of the M16 will quickly adapt to this weapon. Almost every branch, if not all branches of the Armed forces use this weapon.

  • @BriefmomentOfficial you missed out the face that the m16 jammed like crazy and had many many problems

  • World it's not powerful enough to kill some1

  • @natow96 , it is if you nail em in the heart twice and head once

  • @natow96 Are you stupid? It's more than capable of killing a person. You do not, repeat DO NOT wanna get a 5.56 in your chest or stomach or whatever. If you receive it in the head you die instantly. A chest shot or any other place might not kill you at once, but I promise that you'll be dead in a minute. The only places that wouldn't kill you is the arms and legs, but if you hit the right spot you don't even have an arm or leg anymore. Even a handgun is capable of killing so just be quiet.

  • @jonnacdo I agree mate now days any bullet can kill you hey even a blank can kill you believe it or not the only way a blank can kill is a literal point blank shot to the temple though

  • The m4A1 sucks it's one of the worst gun in the

  • WTF

  • You stole these pictures from XboxAhoy

  • Legendary weapon!

  • @christang721 the M16 isnt the older version, they use the m16's just as much as M4's and the M16 is used for more dessert/forrest/outside missions, while the m4 is used for urban/cqb missions as it is smaller and easier to move around with in tight quarters

  • That's not a m4 field strip trust me I use 1 all the time

  • THEIR IS A BIG FUCKING DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE M4 AND THE M4A1

  • @MAairsofter aren't they the same thing...... m4 is just short for m4a1 isn't it

  • @Deisy5086 Nah M4A1 is the fully automatic version of the M4 used by special forces and such

  • you sir are a fucktard.

  • @dumfart21 shaytard

  • 0:54 exactly mine^^ (airsoft)

  • they werent a dumb ass, they ARE a dumbass. were is past tense meaning they are smart now. They are still stupid for not changing the info box.

  • dude your a retarded butt fuck

  • @Xbox360SKIDS007 Obviously you are too. Sure don't know a single punctuation. (You're*) So don't call someone else a retard until you know how to speak english correctly. You can do it lil buddy i have faith in your 5th grade grammar english.

  • @fyflishfy47 shut the fuck up you choad, i was on a fuckin ipod so typing isn't the easiest thing ever, i felt like making the word shorter so i type less. you got a problem with that?

  • I can't believe it, this guy got 42,000 views from taking pictures off Google and posting it onto a video...

  • wow,i thought they were gonna tell me how do they use and why did they make it..

  • that was not a field strip that was a fully assembled m-4 without it's bells and whistles. get a M-4 and shoot yourself with it please you owe me 1 minute and 30 seconds you asshole

  • the m16a4 doesnt even have a jamming problem, and if anything it has a over heating problem, and the m4 doesnt fix that. To pute in to simple words you can underdtand, the m4a1 is an updated version of the m16...

if you want to see a weopon that fixes all the m16's flaws, look at the hk4 16

  • bullpup is the future

  • Im caporal for Canadian Forces and i use a AR-15. And i can also trade it for a C7 FTHB or a C8

  • how about some video footage?

  • haha fake and gay, i especially liked the field strip section... thats just some accessories you could put on.

  • my damn stock keeps jamming any tips would help alot its the typical m4 stock with release slider...Im f in desperate to fix it

  • THE M16A4 IS MORE RELIABLE THAN M4A1, USMC ACKNOWLEGE THAT. This is because the M4A1 has a shorter barrel, which increase the cyclic rate of fire, so reduce reliability.

  • The M4A1 is a nice Weapon.. but I like the M16 better because of the longer barrel. part from that it aint so much of a difference between the guns ^^

  • song?

  • thanks...

  • The slide that says field strip is actually the block 1 accessory pack

  • 0:44.....This thing upside (big) for what is it good for??

  • its probably a thermal optic or night vision.

  • true

  • @Gumpa2 its a vertical grip used for accuracy in fully automatic fire..

  • These images are all from Wikipedia and were not all M4A1's some were the original M4's and that lame info up there was far from correct the M4 still jams and has already begun replacement by the HK416 upper reciever and SCAR (Special Forces Combat Assault Rifle).

  • true

  • special operations peculiar modification...i like it

  • whoever made this was a dumbass

  • .... That wasn't a field strip... that was a look at different attachments... a field strip is where you literally take apart the gun...

  • that aint a field strip ,its a sopmod pic

  • :45 wasnt a field strip

  • Roynar slower bullets does way more damage to a human body than a faster bullets please remember that too.

  • I still think m16 stands for "Attention WalMart shoppers"

  • Can't defend an attack by 10000 Chinese with bursts. It's auto all the way with drum mags and don't forget a beretta 9mm with 10 extra mags as back up cuz you certainly can't unjam a rifle when your position has been compromised and it's dark and horns are being blown by the 10000 communists boo boo bad guys coming your way.

  • infantrymen use the m4 a2 and this gun is a a2 not a a1 an a1 has a non removable carry handle

  • No the M4A

  • The M4A1 is fully auto. The regular M4s are burst.

  • yep

  • AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Stupid people who play mw2 all day don't know shit. The stupidity in these comments is astounding.

  • M4 Fires in Burst thats why M4A1 Is Reproduced to make it Full Auto Firing

    Just like the M16A2(Burst) & M16A3(Auto)

  • It was also made for Close Quarter Combat when transporting VIP's and people such like the president they could get out the vehicle quickly with their weapon drawn and provide suffiecent fire down long and crowded range with the M4a1's shortened barrel adjusted no difference to the accuracy that it still has today.

  • it's still jamming and double feed!!

  • ak is better but less accurate

  • Only soldiers and the SWAT team use the Colt M4A1 Carbine

  • Bushmaster provides them to the military also last I heard. And it's more than just Soldiers and SWAT by the way.

  • 0:44

Not a field strip, that's the carbine with out accessories.

  • the M4A1,AK-47,M249,Galil,Desert Eagle and Famas are my favourite guns!!!

  • deser eagle is fucken slow dude....the m9 would kill you before you can even pull the fucken trigger....

  • xD BUT THEY ARE FUCKEN STRONG

  • 0:45 that is not feild strip

  • says the guy who's name is snipe down vaan40, unlike some people my information does not come from playing cod 4 even though i own it and cant wait for mw2

insulting people over youtube only makes you a bigger asshole =)

    have fun getting pwned

  • False info. The m16a4 is much more reliable than the carbine, this is because the m16a4 has a longer gas tube which means less debris/gases flow into the firing mechanism.

  • its the m16a1

  • ok the m4 was not made because the m16 kept jamming it was made to be smaller for special forces the m4 jams as much as the m16 does.

and taking off the rails and a scope does not count as field stripping, to strip the gun you need to take it apart so you can clean it that means seperating the upper and lower receiver and taking out the firing mechanism

    you n00b

  • wow you said noob but your right tho

  • @nikelachie umm...they solved the jamming problem in vietnam with m16...dont you know anything?...and m4 doesnt jam any more...

  • @nikelachie lol

that was nowhere near field stripped that was just a bunch of attachments

this guy is a fucking idiot

  • ...i just think it looks cool

  • ya me too

  • and also a very n00bish question would'nt be easier to get this gun made like an ak47

  • the m16 is still in use

  • The M4 and M4A1 wasn't made because the M16A4 kept jamming. And it was only too big in certain situations like CQB and walking through jungles. The M16A1 was the main rifle in the family that had jamming problems. They originally made the M4 for the Air Force as a survival rifle but the other branches liked the design then improved it so it slowly became the M4 then the M4A1 as we know it now. Please get your facts straight before you type something.

  • just a quick question?

did'nt they make those guns you just said with a selecter switch of semi-auto/full-auto/three shot burst

  • That "field strip" picture was more of a display of accesories... A real field strip would include separating the receivers and at the very least removal of the bolt/bolt carrier for cleaning... Technically I thinkg a real field strip would also include separating the bolt from the carrier for firing pin maintenance and lubrication.

  • to my a pinion the m16a4 is my favorite weapon because it has a longer barrel to add modifications to besides the m4a1 is a shorter version of the m16

  • all M4s are carbine versions of M16s

M4A1 is a dedicated weapon for Special Operations, while M4 is the....somehow...standard issued, along with M16A2 and M16A4

  • Short and quick:

    M4A1 (not carbine: Semi/Full

    M4 Carbine: Semi/Burst

That was not a field stripped picture you showed.

And that soldier most likely had an M4 Carbine. M4A1's are used by the special forces and I'm pretty sure the USMC and US Army carry M4 Carbines.

  • Why is then on some m4's written M4A1 CARBINE??

  • Hell if I know. I just said what other people in the Army/Marines have said on other videos I've watched.

  • Comment removed

  • you r wrong on some things m4a1 theres no such thing its either m4 carbine or m4a1 the diffrence is the trigger configurations there also other varitons the sopmad is 1 and the grendanier is 1

  • To the vid maker:

The M16A4 was developed AFTER the M4A1, not before.

And the carbines in the hands of the soldiers shown in this video were M4s, not M4A1s. The M4A1 is solely issued to Special Ops personnel, not regular grunts.

  • its called an m4a1 carbine

  • And where did I say it wasn't?

  • no the only m16 that was full auto was the first productions in the 60's that were introduced to military during vietnam to replace the m14....all other variants of the m16 are not full auto. the m4 was introduced not to replace the m16. the m4 is a shorter more tactical version of the m16 its for CQC and its used for everyday patrols as well. mainly the m16 today is for trainning purposes but the military is going to switch over to the m4 eventually

    3/75th Rangers

  • exactly but i think that theyve already switched to the m4a1 this is my favorite weapon by far

  • See men can accessorize too.

  • lol

  • im getting so tired of dumbasses thinking they know it all. first of all theres no such thing as an M4A1 "Carbine" theres an M4 Carbine and its variants the M4A1 and the M4A1 SOPMOD. secondly, colt is not the sole maker of the M4... armalite and bushmaster also produce M4 carbines on gov't grants. thirdly, the M4 did not replace the M16A4 as Americas workhorse weapon. get ur facts from somewhere other than a video game.

  • No, Colt made the M4 so the troops could have a smaller and lighter weight rifle that was more handy. The M4's jam the same amount as the M16A4. also it has the slot on the front so you can add the M203 launcher like at 1:25.

  • Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Your description is wrong. The original M4 was made as a compact version of the M16A2. The M4A1 is a modification of the M4 with rails. The M16A4 is a fully automatic M16A2 with rails also. they both jam equally any way.

  • he is true

  • dude ur wrong, the M16A4 only shoot 3-round bursts like the M16A2

  • We were all wrong. Both of them have full automatic, 3-round burst, and safe. The difference is that the M16A4 has flattop.

  • both of wat? the M16A2/4 and M4 only has 3-round burst/semi/safe the M16A1/3 and M4A1 has full auto/semi/safe, and yeah ur right, the A3/A4 has a built in RIS like the M4A1

  • cod 4 isn't always true

  • wtf does that mean? i don't even play that game, or trust it. just cause u think i'm wrong doesn't mean i'm one of the many american children who think they kno about guns just because they play cod4. y would u say that?!

  • sorry i thought u were one of those kids. im glad theres some people like me who don't go around learning everything they know about the world from their xbox

  • Oh, We have some kids with their Call of Duty 4 knowledge?

  • cod4's M16 has a M16A1 lower receiver, and an M16A4 upper receiver, that is why it's full auto.

  • The M16A4 lower receiver is fully automatic. The only M16 model with burst firing is the M16A2.

  • In what, cod4 or real life, because I don't know what you're trying to talk about.

  • Actually, the M16A2 and the M16A4 both use the 3-shot-burst mode. The M16A1 and the M16A3 are the ones with the fully automatic capability.

  • lol maybe you should play a little less mw2, that game is very inaccurate as to what real warfare actually is.

  • cod is also very unrealistic and is nothing to what a real war would look like.

  • full automatic? your thinking about the m16a3

  • M16A2- safe, three round burst, full auto

M16A3- safe, semi auto, full auto

M16A4- safe, three round burst, full auto

    M4- safe, semi auto

M4A1- safe, semi auto, full auto

the M4 and M4A1 both have rails

  • thank you for further explaining it

  • incorrect. m16a2 is three round burst and semi auto. Not fully automatic.

  • actually you are incorrect. How about all of the people who want to correct me go on wikipedia and find out for your selves as I did.

  • true but sometimes wikipedia lies

  • dont beleive everything you read on wikipedia.

  • Comment removed

  • Uh...no, you fail. The only ones you got right were the M4A1 & M16A3.

Firstly, the M16A2 & A4 are safe/semi/burst. No full auto.

    The M4 has safe/semi/burst just like the M16A2 & A4.

  • My mistake

  • Uh...sorry about the "you fail" part. I was mad at someone when I made that post earlier.

  • the m16a4 shoots semi and full auto and so does the m4

  • No it does not. They don't use full auto on any of the M16 any more. The only one that had full auto was the very first M16A1. The M4A1 is semi and full and the M4 carbine is semi and burst. The marines and army use the M4 Carbine and only the special forces use the M4A1.

  • Your comment is kind of misleading. Special Forces (SF) are not the only people on the battlefield who have access to the M4A1. SF is strictly Army, so where would that leave SEALs, PJs, etc? They get the M4A1 too. I think you meant to say Special Operations :P

  • Yes that is what I meant. I get the two mixed some times. lol

  • what is so special? why dont you's just kill the fuckers? :)

  • You're a fucking retard. The M4 is 3 shot burst. The M4A1 is full auto. The M16A1 is full auto. The M16A2 is 3 shot burst. The M16A3 is full auto. The M16A4 is 3 shot bust. Nobody uses the M4 carbine anymore. The army is thinking about phasing out all M16s and sticking to the M4A1. The marines use M4A1's and they will continue to use M16A2's and M16A4's because every marine is a rifleman first. Ooh fucking rah. Get your shit right bitch.

  • What the fuck climbed up your ass. What's your problem. Why couldn't you have just said that without saying "fuck" and "retard" and "bitch". Way to overreact about nothing important. You must have gone to college to be that smart.

  • Yeah I did go to college. I'm also a professional shooter and I hate it when people try to talk about what they don't know jack shit about.

  • I know plenty. I may not know everything. But I know more than anyone else I'm around. Which is enough for me. I may have been wrong about a few things but I know that now because ass fucks like you rudely tell me so. And just saying, you knowing how to shoot is irrelevant. I know how to shoot too.

  • Nobody uses the M4 Carbine? The Air Force still uses it. I carry it almost everyday on post.

  • Too my knowledge, most of the carbines the Air Force uses are M4A1's not M4's. They prefer the full auto over the 3-shot burst.

  • Maybe the special ops guys, but the regular ones use the M4.

  • Almost nobody uses the M4 anymore. All of the branches either replaced their M4's with M4A1's or swapped out the lower receivers with M4A1 lowers. I think this happened around the late 90's and finished right when we went back to Iraq.

  • Really? Where is your source that the branches use the M4A1 exclusively. Unless you're special forces, you're most likely going to carry a regular M4. Like I said, it's the standard weapon for the Air Force. Security Forces at least.

  • You do know that the M4 is a 3-shot-burst weapon right? And that now all the branches use the M4A1 or a CAR-15 as replacements for the M4. My history teacher's younger brother is AF SF and he carries the M4A1 along with his unit in Iraq. Don't believe everything you read on Wikipedia now.

  • Really? Because I'm Security Forces, and I carry an M4 carbine not an M4A1. Last time I checked, my selector went to burst, not auto. You do also know that the CAR15 was used during Vietnam? So how can it replace the M4 that was issued in 1997? As for not believing Wikipedia, I didn't go there. You shouldn't also believe everything your teacher says either. Especially when it comes from a third person. I think your starting to mix up different types of weapons.

  • M4 replaced the CAR-15, even though the CAR-15 is still in minor service

  • Both branches are getting rid of the M4, M4A1, M16A2, M16A4, MK11, MK12, and M14 rifles for the SCAR series of rifles.

  • @CanineVideos and the ACR

  • lol no not only special forces uses the M4A1 the marines use and so does navy, delta, and rangers.

  • get out of here you dam mw2 noob.

  • M16A1- safe, semi auto, full auto

M16A2- safe, semi auto, three round burst

M16A3- safe, semi auto, full auto

M16A4- safe, semi auto, three round burst

M4- safe, semi auto, three round burst

M4A1- safe, semi auto, full auto

I think I have corrected my self

  • 30 comment replies, awesome. Just saying.

  • The picture at 0:43 is not a field strip of it... I doubt you know what field stripping is....

  • isnt field stripping where you actually take apart the gun?

  • yeah you take it apart to the point where you have the major parts taken out of the gun so you can clean them and stuff... what historychannel416 showed was a picture of accessories for the m4

  • lol u got the pics from wikipediaa didnt u?
