Negative. SAS/SBS need 3.5 years experience in the forces before selection. Most of them are from the parachute regiment and royal marines - two units with the toughest, meanest bastards on the planet in them.

They are the cream of the crop and rightly so. My ex platoon Sgt went SAS 8 months back and he was the scariest, most imposing and respected man I have ever met.
