Humans have a habit of making humour in disastrous situations, it usually relieves the pressure but there are some places you just don't go and I'm afraid this is one of them

It was horrible idea to make a sketch of dying children but i don't think the chasers should be forever hated because of this slip up. The guys have acknowledged that what they did was in bade tastes and have publicly apologized for it.
It is truly unfortunate that such a stuff up like this had to cost Australia one of its best shows.

I actually don't see whats so wrong with this sketch, yes it was a bit cruel to make dying kids the object of their jokes but c'mon It's called satire!!! I actually don't see whats so wrong with this sketch, yes it was a bit cruel to make dying kids the object of their jokes but c'mon It's called satire!!! I love the fact that they have the guts to cross the line. It wasn't the best thought out sketch that they've done but the reaction by the media was over the top! and they appologised and if you look at their other sketches from their last show they even take the piss out of themselves for it, GO CHASER LOVE IT from everyone in the UK!!

It seems to me that when you watch someone else being posted by the Chaser that it's perfectly fine to laugh at them but as soon as it targets you or someone close to you it's just inappropriate. To many people are taking the moral high-ground on this. It's barely offensive at all. If you find death to be such a touchy subject, that's your problem; everyone has to deal with it. I, for one, quite enjoy making a mockery of it, and would rather think upon my lost loved ones with laughter and not sorrow. If this proposition offends you then the feeling is mutual.

I won't support any opinion, only the ones i agree with. The make a with foundation does good work and so does the chasers. But they stepped out of cruel humor to cruelty. Yes, precisely. Because taste is subjective. If I were to criticise the show on taste I would express it as an opinion because I know damn well other people's opinions are just as valid as mine.
This is the very reason you can't justifiably call for a show (or anything else) to be censored because that denies the show to other people who probably have a different opinion about it.
Also I can't really see how I was hypocritical given that my position is essentially live and let live.

Not true, I get offended by people that use ad hominem arguments, believe in things without any evidence and advocate censorship to name a few (no offence intended). But I would never wish them censored. If I wished that (and if I could achieve it) then I would be opening up my own opinions to be censored if anyone else had the power to.

Like it or not, the subject of the skit could have been argued as a serious point (e.g. Surely the money spent on granting terminal kids' wishes would be better spent on finding cures for the very diseases they are dying of), but that's not what they were doing, they just made a joke about it.

bye chaser, it has been taken off for two weeks as the abc evaluates it's filtering procedure.
my guess is the show will be shrunk to below human size and standard, disregarded and left, if not taken off air, and they will be wiped from our memory. if they don't improve themselves as humans.

comedy is subjective, some people thought it was tastless, some pople thought it was the best thing on the episode.
but what is REALLY FUCKING WEAK is that the ABC allowed this to be aired, they said 'yep, got no problem, air it' and the FUCKING SECOND they got any pressure from it they ran like fucking dogs with tails in between their legs.
