If you folks are interested in seeing Maka's choices in panties, the manga does have some instances of visible upskirts. On another note, I was surprised to find that Crona was a boy. I mean, in the subtitled version, the feminine voice, long purple hair and dress made me think otherwise until they outright said "he."

We still don't know for sure what Crona is, since he/she is referred to in the more direct translations of the language as Medusa's "child" rather than "son" or "daughter", or by a genderless pronoun. A picture at the end of the manga chapter 60 didn't help keep things for me either. I don't even think the author knows for sure!

Personally, I go with the girl-theory for now.
